Matt is a highly experienced and very helpful agent that paid off for us in acquiring our new home in Colorado Springs remotely from Topeka Kansas. I had done extensive research on Zillow for agents serving CS. Matt was definitely a leader in Zillow agent reviews and also had an electrician background, thus I believed he would be someone I could trust and would be very helpful. It turned out that my assumptions were totally correct. We watched listings closely for several weeks that matched our wishes. We noticed that many of the homes that we really liked were under contract within days of first showing up online. I had prepared by getting pre-approved for a loan in the price range that I was willing to purchase so we could also act fast. On a Friday afternoon a home came on the market that we really liked and were willing to purchase if there were no major issues. That evening I called Matt to let him know and he suggested that he tour the property the next morning for us since we were hundreds of miles away. It was around 11:30 the next morning (Saturday) that Matt called back and gave us a very detailed review of his findings. Satisfied that this home was a good match for us, I told Matt that I wouldn't want to lose this home as I was aware of how fast some homes go under contract and that others end up having bidding wars. He suggested we put a reasonable offer on the home that day that would still give us a discount off list price but would let the sellers know we were serious. We did that and the sellers counter offered that weekend. By Monday morning we had the home under a contract that was acceptable to both parties and yet we had not seen the home in-person. Matt had indicated we would have an opportunity to back out once we actually saw the place in-person. Trusting Matt’s personal detailed review of the property and his professionalism is why we put the home under contract before seeing it first-hand. The next weekend we traveled to CS to see the home and found no significant issues. Matt then made arrangements for a professional home inspection with a person he fully trusts to expose any issues. We got the inspection report and we were very pleased with how detailed the report was. Using the inspection report as our guide, Matt helped finalize a list of reasonable things for the sellers to have fixed and/or completed before closing. Throughout the whole purchasing process I had many questions for Matt which he patiently addressed until I understood. We found Matt to be a very pleasant and personable person to work with. I also believe Matt’s electrician/builders experience was an advantage that came into play for us. We are very happy with the assistance that Matt gave us and highly recommend him to others.

We initially contacted Matt (along with a few other agents) after seeing his numerous positive reviews on Zillow. After meeting him, my wife and I immediately decided to use him as our agent (to buy our first home). Not only was he laid back, rationale, and an overall decent guy (all of which are attributes that are in shockingly short supply at times), but he also proved to be knowledgeable about the areas of the city we were interested in. It was clear that he wanted us to find a place that was a great fit for us and he was refreshingly honest in his feedback. The negotiation process went smoothly and Matt helped to ensure that the repairs we negotiated as part of the purchase were completed prior to closing. This was particularly helpful as my wife and I were out of town the weeks leading up to closing. A couple weeks after we received our keys, Matt checked in with us to see how we were doing and if we were enjoying our new home (which we certainly are). Overall, Matt was a perfect fit for us and he has our strong recommendation. If you are not sure what agent to go with, check out and contact a few people but make sure to include Matt on that short list. After speaking to him, my guess is that he will become your obvious choice.
