Team reviews

we hired Cori after several months with our previous Windermere agent from the south end of Seattle. Cori brought a tremendous amount of local area knowledge and was in contact with many local potential buyers that vastly improved our activity on the sale of our house. We had a lot that was difficult to show, but Cori worked extremely hard during open houses to debate and counter the perceived drawbacks with the highlight positive aspects of the property. We partnered with Cori after 5 months of very little activity and no offers. Within one month we had a contingent offer that successfully closed in less than a month. We highly recommend Cori if you are buying or selling in the Shoreline area. There are none better to work with at Windermere than Cori! She is also a great person to know and became our friend over the time we worked together.

Thank you, Anni! I am so glad I had the opportunity to get to know you and Craig better through this process. Always makes me a little sad that I meet cool neighbors once they are selling and moving out of the area! I know you'll love living in Hawaii and we'll miss you around Richmond Beach. As Craig says as he signs off....Mahalo nui loa

Cori Whitaker....the best Realtor my wife and I have ever had the good fortune of coming across. Now, on to my experiences, my opinions and a suggestion or two.

Have you ever gone through the daunting process of interviewing multiple prospective Realtors from a large variety of sources? You remember, getting names from your next door neighbor, your best friend, your associate at work and of course, the internet. Once you have your list you schedule all the appointments and then the parade of flashy marketing packets, smiling faces and big commitments begins.

Each of them tells you they are the best, they represent the best and they have the best team that will do the best job marketing and selling your home. You labor over the decision because the stakes are high, as are the associated costs. So what to do?

Unfortunately, as you might expect, not all Realtors are created the same. That guy who sold his longevity as the key component of his professionalism, has in fact been an agent for the last 25 years, problem is that he has been really marginal for the last 10 and down right poor for the last 5. Oh yea, and the lady who gave you a 30 page list of all the houses her "team" has sold in the last 5 years, well you will never see or hear from her again until she feels it is time to lower the price because "the market is making a correction".

You finally pick someone because they remind you of your favorite Aunt and well, "they seemed so nice". Hopefully they will really do all those wonderful things that they said they would and could do. Much to your disappointment, those great brochures just don't materialize, the open houses "aren't really necessary" and you come to find out that neither Zillow or Trulia has ever even heard of your listing.

My suggestion, avoid all of this. Do your homework by using the internet and your phone to check potential agent's track record in terms of listings and sales over the past 2 years. Once you have someone that you are feeling good about, like Cori for instance, bring up their name when you are taking to competing agents. The reactions you get will give you a ton of information and perspective.

OK, now is when I gush over Cori. She is what all great Realtors aspire to become. She is what you are hoping to find when you start your process. The problem is that you just don't know how good she really is and unfortunately are having to take my word for it.

For us, she just could not have been any better. Part real estate professional, part psychiatrist, part business planner and part good friend. I would have to say that as our experience with her matured, the emphasis was on good friend. And no, we are not related, nor did I even know her or any of my friends know her before we started our contractual relationship.

Cori Whitaker.....the best Realtor my wife and I have ever had the good fortune of coming across. She sold our home in 4 days at full price. Thanks Cori for all that you do, we love you.

Sold a Single Family home in 2014 for approximately $500K in Lynnwood, WA.

Cori is an outstanding agent and exceeded our expectations. We are seasoned house sellers, our third house in fourteen years, five house sales in our past. Cori researched the market, did a wonderful job with staging, had a well attended open house, and kept us well informed since we had moved out of state. She also helped us sell our remaining furniture.

Cori sold our house in six days above asking price.

I would highly recommend her!

Bought a Single Family home in 2013 for approximately $200K in Camano Island, WA.

When it comes to a 5-star Real Estate Agent, Cori is the full package! Her knowledge and commitment to her clients is impressive. From the inspection to the final signing docs, I felt completely confident that she was on top of every little detail. There is no doubt in my mind that her follow-through was just as sharp on our $200k cabin as it was on a $1 million plus mansion in Woodway. That's just the kind of person that Cori is. She's smart, thorough, and a joy to be around. I would recommend her to anyone who wants a positive buying experience and I would use her again in a heartbeat.

Thank you so much, Kristine! It was so significant to be part of such a nostalgic journey to procure a cabin on the lake where Darrell grew up fishing with his Grandpa. Such a joy to see him fill up with boyhood memories of special times and adventures there! And now you and your kids get to be a part of that extraordinary place going forward. Thank you for allowing me to share in that!

Cori was an invaluable partner and guide during our home buying process. She is personable, professional, smart and caring, and a pleasure to work with. Her presence helped us feel supported and confident throughout the emotional, expensive and complicated process of buying a house. She and her team kept us informed and on track about every detail. I would recommend Cori without hesitation.

Thank you, Evan and Tremaine! I love the story of the house we procured and I will always remember the letter you wrote to the seller...so thoughtful and sincere - you completely won her over! So excited to see your improvements over time...what a fun process you will be going through together (OK not so fun to be under the house leveling it, but fun to blow out walls and create an awesome kitchen!).

Bought a Single Family home in 2013 for approximately $550K in Woodinville, WA.

Cori was recommended to us by my financial advisor and I am so very glad I found her! I was ready to purchase my first home post-divorce just as the housing market was heating up. Inventory was low, but Cori did a great job of finding homes that met my criteria.

When we saw what would become my house for the first time, I knew it was THE ONE. In addition to ticking almost every box, it just felt right. We were pretty sure there would be multiple offers so Cori got an inspector (who was awesome) in the next morning so that our offer would not be contingent on inspection. We wrote the offer that afternoon. Cori let me know about different ways that I could make my offer stronger, but still made sure I completely understood and was comfortable with everything we were including. As it turned out, there were seven offers! Cori presented my offer in person to the sellers, which really shows how committed she is to the process. I was totally stunned when she called with the good news.

Working with Cori was always a pleasure. She is dependable and personable, and it is obvious that she really loves what she does. If we ever sell this house (which I can't imagine because we love it here) I would of course want to list it with her. I am considering buying a fourplex as an investment property and would not think of working with anyone else.

Thanks, Rachel - super psyched about procuring your house for you - there was some stiff competition, but we did it! Thank you for trusting me and following my recommendations of what it would take to win. I know you, Adam and all the kiddos coming and going will be very happy there!

Sold a Single Family home in 2013 for approximately $1.125M in Shoreline, WA.

Cori Whitaker knows her stuff! She knows how to price, stage, market, negotiate and how to get the home SOLD! Her impressive statistics for sold properties in my neighborhood is what attracted me and solidified my chose to hire her. Her team of professionals made a difference. The staging made the house look and feel it's very best. Professional photos and marketing materials presented the home in its best and most compelling light. I had a last minute need for an electrician and she knew who to call and had it handled immediately. She understood my needs, helped me look at all the pro's and con's which lead to a meaningful negotiation and quick pending status. Most of all, she helped keep me on track all while educating and holding my hand. This is the second home that Cori has sold for me in the past two months. The first closed within 30 days of our list date and the second within a week! Cori is the best and I'd recommend her super professional approach and kind spirit to anyone looking to buy or sell real estate in our area.
