Bought a Single Family home in 2009 for approximately $275K in Greenway, Beaverton, OR.
We felt Christina took the time to get to know us and therefore getting to understand what we really wanted in a home. Being first time homebuyers, we didn't really know what we wanted; however, Christina was patient, responsive, and dedicated to show us 40 or more houses in a matter of a couple of monthes. She had the expertise and knowledge to guide us through any buying process, foreclosure, shortsale, or traditional. When we found a house we were interested in, Christina was patient and did not pressure us into anything, even if we came back to look at the same house several times. She did a fabulous job of explaining to us each step of the buying process and made us feel very comfortable. In the end, we got everything wanted and would recommend Christina to anyone looking for a trusted realator. Oh, and I forgot to mention, all this while she was in her 3rd trimester of her pregnancy.
Bought a Single Family home in 2011 for approximately $350K in Five Oaks - Triple Creek, Beaverton, OR.
Thanks to Cristina John who diligently sent us a listing of new homes periodically, my husband and I finally found a great new custom single home property in a great location in Beaverton area last year. We actually just closed on that property in April 2011 with Cristina’s help as a buyer’s agent. From the beginning, Cristina was always very professional, punctual, friendly and accommodating to our needs. Every questions we asked Cristina no matter how ridiculous it may sound, she always kindly gave us prompt answers and she made sure that we understand completely. Cristina is honest, hardworking realtor, ethical and what we especially appreciate about Cristina is that we can trust her that she is always looking out for our best interest, especially in dealing with the builder and the seller. We are grateful to have Cristina as our realtor, and without any hesitation we will recommend Cristina to our colleagues, friends and family.
Sold a Townhouse home in 2008 for approximately $200K in Kenton, Portland, OR.
I had a job transfer to Southern California and had to leave before selling my home in North Portland. Cristina was AMAZING to work with and handled everything smoothly and remotely as most of my business had to be conducted by phone, fax, email and through trusted friends. She has extraordinary integrity. She was the third and by far the best agent. She actually listened to her client and got the job done, and the deal closed.
Her recommendations on staging and negotiation skills got me top dollar in a tough tough market in 2008. I would recommend her highly. I look forward to working with her when I return to purchase a home.
Bought a Single Family home in 2009 for approximately $225K in Montavilla, Portland, OR.
Cristina is a consummate professional. She understood our needs, work around our guidelines and schedules, and allowed us to go through our,at times, ambivalent consideration process. We postponed buying, visited about 30 properties and Cristina; even while 8 months pregnant; continued being extremely attentive and supportive.
She was recommended to me by a friend and I now recommend her to all of my friends.
Bought a Single Family home in 2010 in Portsmouth, Portland, OR.
Cristina was my agent for well over two years. In this time, she PATIENTLY showed me several homes that were in my very minimal price range. Never once did she make me feel like I was wasting her time, (especially since she would not be making much money off of me). At one point, my search took me in a different direction, and Cristina wished me well, and said she would still be there if my search took me back to the area. About a year later it did, and like she said, she was right there, ready to show me more homes.
When I finally found the house I REALLY wanted, I was a bit hesitant to even start the offer process because it was over my budget. Cristina urged (she was professional about it, she did not push me, nor did she pressure me) me to go forward to "just see" if we could get them to come down. I'm happy to say, that with her fabulous negotiating skills (we must have gone back and forth four or five times), she got them down a few thousand below my budget AND got them to pay for more in closing costs. After I moved in, the other realtor came by to pick up his signs and he said to me "you had one heck of a realtor, she clobbered me in the negotiations".
Cristina was there for me throughout the closing process and helped me with the appraisal and ANYTHING else that comes with closing on a home. To this day, a year and a half later, she periodically checks in with me to make sure things are going well, and continues to offer her services with recommendations of handymen, plumbers, property managers, etc. I know that I can call her with ANY question regarding my house (and probably anything else as well), and she will help me.
Throughout my home buying experience, Cristina never failed to respond to any of my inquiries. Most of the time, she would respond within the hour. Anytime I saw a house I wanted to see, she was readily available. At times, I would feel bad for dragging her out to show me a house and then me, once again, not be interested in it at all. But again, she NEVER made me feel like I was wasting her time. It was important to her that I found the perfect home for myself and my daughter.
I would, and do, without hesitation, recommend Cristina John to anyone who is searching for a realtor in the Portland area. She won't let you down. Because of her patience, her persistance, and her tough negotiating skills, I have a house that I love.
