Bought a Condo home in 2015 for approximately $250K in Mc Lean, VA.

(1) Understood the complexity of the multiple markets within the DC area. Articulated the choices, trade-offs and cost benefits of the various DC areas. Greatly valuable in narrowing down the DC neighborhoods, type of residence and individual choice of homes. (2) Thoroughly understood not only the real estate aspects of the purchasing process, but also was very familiar with the details of the mortgage approval process and subsequent complications. (3) Based on my selection criterial and priorities, they were able to execute multiple searches, each resulting in various property options. (4) Were quick to response even when on vacation, and ensure that others we depended on also responded in a timely manner (seller, lender, appraiser, Title Company, etc.). Successfully negotiated on my behalf a reduction in the sales price along with seller paying substantial amount of closing costs. Also, got us some concessions on home inspection issues, and was able to extend our original closing date.  More Less

I had the pleasure of working directly with Vlad as my agent and Rosina as my broker. If you contact Rosina I hope you have the same opportunity, although I'm sure Rosina is incredible during the showing process as well.

Vlad was the picture of a perfect real estate agent: Knowledgeable, patient, sympathetic, fiercely hard working, and a wildy successful negotiator. The experience was like having a body guard, a real estate professor, and close friend in my corner the entire time. I was a first time home buyer. In a financial decision this large I was overly wary of anyone who was involved in the process. I picked out all of my own properties at first and I interviewed several real estate agents. When I met Vlad, I was viewing a property on the wrong side of town, and I was struggling to keep my head above water with all the information coming my way. Within 10 minutes he had my vision in mind and we drove straight to a property that was a better fit than any I had seen on my own. With very little lead time, he had me pointed in the right direction. I decided to go with District One Properties because Vlad’s experience and knowledge made me feel far more comfortable than any other agent. I fact checked everything he said in our first, second and third meeting, and he was dead accurate. At the beginning I was still wary and felt like I needed to stay in the mindset that I was in this process alone. As time went on, I found myself calling him to talk about far more than just what house to see next. He was infinitely patient and always helpful . I recommend District One because they somehow managed to break down my fear that I was just a business opportunity, and I truly felt like he wanted to help me succeed. I walked away from this home purchase with a new sense that successful real estate agents put people first, and their success is in the success of those they represent. After finding the right place, Vlad stayed several steps ahead in the process of getting us to close. District One properties under the leadership of Rosina and Vlad, has made me a very happy home buyer and I made a life-long friend in the process. They operate with integrity and ambition. Not only would I love to have them represent me again, if I wanted to be in real estate I would call them for a job. Vlad exudes a spirit of helping people that is undoubtedly the reason for his success. I learned a great deal about how customer focused businesses should behave. A tremendous experience! I still get letters from him, checking in and making sure I am staying on track with my personal goals. If I could do it again, I would back off and let District One drive the whole process to success with my eyes closed. It was an absolute pleasure working with group.
