12/08/2012 - user45639927Bought a Single Family home in 2012 for approximately $175K in Knoxville, TN.
Dabney ended up being the best real estate agent we could have asked for when we began our search for a home. Not only is he extremely knowledgeable of the area, but he has been in the construction and property business for years, and will always tell you the honest truth about a property when you go see it together. There were some places that my wife and I saw online that looked good to us, but when we got there he would actually point out the things that were poor construction practices etc. etc. In the end he helped us find a place that was in a great neighborhood that was of high quality construction, within our budget, and just a fantastic home to start our lives. Even after we purchased our home he has been in our lives and if you are looking for a real estate agent I would recommend Dabney 100%. THANKS DABNEY!!!!

I had never met Dabney before June 2012, by mid August we closed on a condo. I can't imagine having a person do more as a realtor than Dabney recently did for my wife and I. His knowledge and expertise of Knoxville real estate, both past and present, is unsurpassed. We purchased a small condo and to get just the right place he must have shown us dozens. He knew the ups and downs of each area of Knoxville, and when asked, was happy to share his knowledge. We were not from Knoxville so we had many questions about different areas. After the fact, we found his answers to our questions were right on. He always responded with eagerness and we felt no question was a bother. His help with different contractors to fix things and even the home inspector were all top notch individuals. We felt as though we had known him and his wife Trish all our lives. If you get Dabney to help you with real estate, consider yourself fortunate. In my opinion Dabney goes above and beyond any realtor I have ever worked with in my life, and I'm 65 years old.
Response from Dabney
I was a first time home buyer, and was admittedly timid about dealing with a realtor. Being not only unfamiliar with the Knoxville area, but also with the real estate process altogether; I took the reccomendation of a friend to call Dabney. He immediately made me comfortable about buying a home. He was very thorough in asking me questions that would establish what area to buy, and is so knowledgeable about Knoxville, that he knew the price points to get me the very best deal. He was patient during the shopping process, telling me that I would know when I walked into what was going to be my home. Even after the dealing was done, he has made it a point to check on me to make sure I am pleased with my purchase. I speak for anybody that is a first time buyer, it can be a scary process unless you find an honest person to represent your best interests. I found that with Dabney, and highly recommend him as a realtor.

I really do not understand the negative feedback from user132543 for a man who is frank and honest about homes resale value, defects, and problems. This man has his customers best interests at heart and would never want a customer to make a mistake buying a home. I never felt like I was being conned into buying something I didn't want. The man was a builder and knows houses really well and many things that can go or are wrong with them. I would expect any agent would give words of warning about certain homes that could end up being a money pit. If you want someone who knows houses inside, out, and under use this guy.

Dabney spent a lot of time helping us find the right home. He did everything we asked him to do and we appreciate his time and effort. Moving and finding a home is a very stressful time, but he put our mind at ease each and everytime we went looking at homes. He assured us that he would find us the right home and he did! Dabney is honest, a great realtor, and even better person. I highly recommend Dabney Hansard, he will not let you down!

03/28/2012 - user132543We connected, but it did not work out. Looking in Knoxville, TN
Dabney showed me some properties in Knoxville that I requested to see after finding them on Zillow. He down talked my favorite properties, and tried to show me others that didn't fit my requirements at all. Dabney was not the right agent for the type of property I was looking for.
