Dan is easy to work with and made himself available to show me houses esp. since I was living 2 hours away. He is very knowledgeable about the area. I had never purchased a home in California, but he walked me through every detail so there were no surprises.
Dan is a straightforward, no nonsense agent who takes the time to really understand what his client wants. The properties he suggested all fit the criteria we wanted. For years after the purchase, he has been helpful and assisted in locating contractors that were professional craft persons who showed up when they said they would.
He knows the pros/cons of the areas and has always provided unbiased information. I wouldn't think of using any other agent.

In 2002 we discovered the Blue Lake Springs area of Arnold and we were shown some vacation properties by Dan Seider. Dan was very professional but realized that we were still in the category of potential buyers, so he did not put pressure on us to buy right away. Instead, he gave us valuable information about the area which was most helpful in our decision process. We kept in touch with Dan during the year and in 2003 we decided to become serious buyers. Dan showed us properties that were in our price range with the amenities that were important to us. Within two days of searching he found us the vacation home that was perfect for our family. He also recommended a realtor in the Twain Harte area to facilitate the sale of our vacation home there. At the time, the market was hot, so we sold that home in one day resulting in a very easy transition to allow us to close escrow on both properties on the same day. It was a headache-free deal. We have kept in contact with Dan over the past 8 years and have formed a friendship as he has been most helpful in recommending contractors in the area when the need arose. As our family has grown we found the need for a larger vacation home, but we loved our home so much and we saw the potential for adding on, so now we have the perfect home for our kids and grandkids to enjoy. I found Dan online, and was pleased to discover he was a near-perfect match for us as we looked for a second home around Arnold and Dorrington. I enjoyed his low-key style, never pressuring or rushing, in fact he seemed non-attached to the outcome, open, and really honest. I found him to be a receptive listener and always pleasant. He has lived in the area a long time and knows it well. He planned out a series of good places to look at on the days when we came up from the Bay Area, making excellent use of our time, and respecting the parameters we set. As we began making offers, things got a little confusing but he stayed on top of the details, always returning calls, working through the process. His recommendations to us for who to work with were rock-solid, which we appreciated greatly since we didn’t know anyone. A huge plus was that he figured out how to do nearly all the paperwork remotely through email. Since we both travel frequently, it might not have happened otherwise. When it came down to the last points in the negotiation, Dan went the extra mile to close the deal, by working out an arrangement to remove unwanted furniture (and even moving some himself)! There were also items that needed to be fixed and he figured out who could do it and made the calls to make it happen. Even after the deal, Dan has been a wonderful resource to us. Now, a few months later, we love our new place and the new dimension to our life! There’s so much to love about the area and we discovering new things all the time, many from tips he gave us. I found Dan while looking through potential Realtors to use while buying a Cabin in Arnold. From the first meeting I liked him since he was very mellow and was patient to answer all the questions and show us around the town and the properties. Since I have never owned a place in a snowy/montian area I found the information he provided very useful. He also advised us which properties not to buy because of the potential insurance issues and such. Well in the end we found a place we really liked and to boot it was in the same neibhourhood he lives. Even after the deal was done, he has always been helpful in helping out with different things. A great Realtor to work with!
