Let’s start with saying that I was not an easy client for Debbie. My wife and I were buying our first house and I was scared and didn’t know who to trust. Was I wrong to be paranoid? After all, there is a lot of money being exchanged and a lot of people involved in the transaction. All these people will get paid from the money that I will be responsible to pay for the next 30 years. I found that the internet was full of real estate horror stories. By the time I met Debbie, I was on my second agent and not very happy with the current one I had. We met her, by chance, at two different open houses that she had been holding. We were impressed with her knowledge and her patience in answering our questions. We were also very impressed with her work ethic because we ran into her twice while she was hosting two open houses at two locations during the same weekend! By the following Monday, we decided to make a commitment to Debbie and we spent the next three months looking at houses together. In those three months of viewing houses, I learned a lot about real estate through Debbie. She taught us what to be careful of. When we viewed houses, if we liked one, Debbie would use her flashlight to peer into the crawlspace. There was one time especially, in which Debbie literally saved us from entering into a bad situation with a house we had really liked, when she opened the trapdoor to the house’s crawlspace and found a very bad water leak (and some mold). Two weeks ago, we closed on our new house. Throughout this scary, lengthy and emotional process of buying a house, Debbie gained my complete trust and confidence with her fierce loyalty and dedication to us. She defended and protected us throughout the entire process. She also ended up saving us close to $500 at closing on a few extra items that would have normally been overlooked. If you are buying or selling a house, I highly recommend using Debbie as your agent. If you do, you will see what I mean. Also, I have to mention, that my wife and I are new to Boise, after closing on the house, Debbie, my wife and I have gone to lunch several times.
