We are currently listed with Don Anthony Realty and I cannot say enough good things about this Realtor. The SHORT version? LOOK NO FURTHER for a professional team at the RIGHT PRICE to help you buy or sell! Here's the long explanation! I feel that current realtor commissions are just simply too high, a home like ours at $375 would cost us $22,500 to sell with traditional realty firms (6% commission total). Can I just repeat....$22-THOUSAND DOLLARS!!!!! NOW.....if you want your hand held, and want a physical person visiting you regularly and constantly in your life as you go through the listing & sale process, then maybe you should go elsewhere. DA's website clearly explains they offer a discount rate by cutting out all the extra 'unnecessary' fluff. I don't like fluff! I am busy (constantly) and email & app-communications on my smartphone is the right way for me! When it comes to contract time, DA will do the bulk of their work to earn the 1/2% (and well-deserved). Don Anthony does everything that is NECESSARY to sell your home, you don't get anything you don't NEED! As it is, most homes now are marketed ONLINE and via MLS (and subsequently with Zillow, Trulia...etc). Anytime a buyer is searching in an area, your home WILL come up as a result. Maybe there is an off chance that a few realtors would not show your home, but it's so minimal of a chance....if you pay/offer the standard 3% buying agent commission you should get plenty of showings (we've had 25 in 2 months all from outside agencies). Being that almost all real estate is marketed online, it is just hard for me to feel good paying over $10k to do some electronic transaction work and negotiate at contract! As it is, we opted for the $499 listing + .5% (yes, that's 1/2% folks!) upon sale of the home. They do have a 'fuller service' option at 2.5% I believe. The office staff has been SO AMAZING at responding IMMEDIATELY when there was any interest on our home. They email us IMMEDIATELY when a possible buyer has a question (again folks, this is all electronic communication......so much more convenient than a phone call or a 'visit' just to ask simple questions). And it's all tracked via email if you need a record! Further, we agreed to use a Don Anthony Agent to be our buyer agent, and she has offered advice (free) and guidance on a few occasions and she has not gotten paid for anything as we have not sold yet. Their team has stopped by to measure the home (verify square footage) and swap out (upgrade) the lock box, both times the folks were SO professional and offered more advice and helpful comments. Everything about listing, showing & feedback runs through an APP......SO simple and it's FAST, no lag & no mistakes. We used a discount realtor to sell our previous home, and Don Anthony has been just as awesome the second time around. The most important part for me is having the help when negotiations comes around, and contract prep.....I know I am fully backed and I feel confident this is the BEST CHOICE we could have made in selling our home! We have not sold 'yet' but it's not due to DA, its the market & other factors, I know we will soon! OH - AND FYI......part of the beauty of DA is that you can pull your listing and re-list within one year and NOT pay the $499 again! So I can pull in the slow months and re-list in the spring and it's like picking back up where we left off! AWESOME!!!!
