I am so pleased to have worked with Derek during the process of selling our home. We have four very young children and a dog. I was concerned with finding a buyer for our home, and I did not think I could maintain a house in show condition indefinitely. Derek has a defined system he uses that really works. He utilizes the best resources (a stager, professional photographer, etc.) to make your home shine and show well. He researches the current market and makes knowlegable recommendations on asking price and home improvements if necessary. Derek is an amazing negotiator and knows when to hold back or pursue various situations. His experience and knowledge are evident by his successes. ***You owe it to yourself to deal with a true professional when choosing a real estate agent. Do yourself a favor and stay away from the friend-of-a-friend agents who promise the world and smile at you, but never fail to disappoint when they are truly needed. Derek is a realistic, tell-it-how-it-is professional with impeccable communication skills. He is well respected in the business, and his peers know that he means business. You will not get frustrated dealing with incompetance. You will never grow impatient waiting for him to respond to a call, text or email. If you are serious about selling or purchasing real estate, give Derek a call and see for yourself. If you feel inclined to read it, the following is a synopsis of our transaction with Derek Bauer as a buyer's agent.***
My wife and I contracted with Derek Bauer and his Door to Dreams team at the end of October 2011 to sell our starter home. We were at the closing table 6 weeks later. Our house sold MUCH quicker than we anticipated, which left us with the dilemma of not having a home to move into! After coming to the understanding that we would be purchasing for our "forever" home and not just another stepping stone, my wife and I had extremely specific guidelines as to the property, home and location in mind. We had of course decided to use Derek Bauer again as a buyer's agent this time due to his flawless execution of selling our home. Unfortunately there were very few homes on the market that met our standards and fell within our budget. Derek was all over every listing that we pursued, supplying us with the pertinent information and prompt showings. After a couple of months had passed a home was listed that we had to have, I mean it was obvious that this was our new home. It was the nicest property and home that we had seen, and in a perfect location. Derek got us in to see the home before anyone else had a chance to, and we wrote an offer on it the next day. To our dismay we learned that within 2 days there were multiple offers on the home. We took Derek's advice as to how we should structure our offer, and were overjoyed to find out a few days later that our offer was accepted!
I am convinced that winning the bidding war on our new home wasn't only due to having the highest offer. We used Derek's recommended mortgage broker who was also a dream to work with, and professional to a fault. Derek prepared us to buy our home and made sure that all of our ducks were in a row so that when it was time to pull the trigger all we had to do was sign. Derek and the lender he referred us to made us stand out as capable buyers without strings attached.
My wife and I moved into our dream home a little over a month ago. We won't soon forget the time and dedication and professionalism that Derek Bauer put into making this a reality for us.…More Less

Derek was always very attentive, and helped us with his extensive network to stage our house and get the maximum sales price. His use of technology to make our house visible to the most potential buyers resulted in an amazing number of showings in a challenging market.
