We connected, but it did not work out. Looking in East Side, PA
John Casserd was the worst real estate agent I've ever met. I can't explain how miserable working with him has been. He never once had our back, never once went our of his way to help us out, and never once took any initiative to do his job. As our agent, John was working against us from looking at homes to writing the initial offer. It took my wife to actually confront John and threaten to fire him if he wouldnt write our initial offer. "The builder won't accept this offer being so low" John advised us to offer a higher asking price with less incentives. After confronting John he finally wrote the initial offer. Weird thing is, the builder came back two days later and accepted our low offer. This was the first time we saw John Casserd real estate bologna. After this we were very skeptical towards John, and what exactly his intentions were. Like fools we decided to stick by John and hope for the best. What fools were we!!!!!!!! I can't tell you how many times we had to call John and ask him to get this and do that. From calling the builder to getting our new home orientation, John couldn't even establish the correct closing date. We told John our lender needed 45 days to close, and John insisted that he knew how the lenders are and wrote for 30 days and to close on the 31st of January. Im not sure what John thought when trying to close so early, even after we told him our lender needed 45 days, he assured us that he knew the ins and outs of the real estate game, and said everything will be ok. As the 31st drew closer we didn't hear a word from John and we started to wonder what was going on. A week before closing we decided to call John and ask what was going on with the new home orientation. it took three calls and many emails to finally get a response out of him. Accoding to the handbook we were given by John, the new home orientation should be scheduled 2-3 weeks prior to closing. It took us calling John a week before closing to set this up. We never heard a word from John about this so we had to call the property agent ourselves and get the project mangers name and number and do it ourselves. Johns response was I left messages and emails but never heard anything back.It amazed both of us how much assistance John needed to do anything. It seemed anything we needed from him we had to ask, and 9 out of 10 times he never came through with decent answer.tt seemed to always be an accuse to why he didn't have an answer. Never once did he take responsibility and apologize for his nonsense crap. I could go on and on about the other times he lied to us about things and how he never made us feel like clients. The last issue I want to bing up is how John couldn't even get the closing date correct. As it turns out the builder had sent John a letter statting the closing date would be Febuary 18th, not Jan 31st. As my wife and I were signing our papers to close we were told to call the project manager to do a final walkthrough. To my surprise the PM told me that the house wouldn't be until the 18th and the papers we were signing were not valid and they had no clue that the we were closing in two days. Due to John's non involvement, we had already given our notice to vacate the apt. and had no place to go. Luckily my parents allowed us to stay with them while the moving company stored our belongings while the house was being finished. It felt as if we were our own real estate agents during this whole process. John did not do a professional job, and I do not recommend him to anyone unless you want to do all the real estate work. This experience was by far most frustrating, un- professional, self involving, no communication affair we have ever encountered. Eventhought this was my first home purchase common sense tells me that this man did not do his job in anyway. Till this day he has not apologized nor taken any responsibility for any if these mistakes. Myself, my wife, and my 1 yeah old son were almost homeless due to John Casserd lack of knowledge, communication and work ethic. Do not let this person do what he did to us. This is a true statement and my personal opinion of what John Casserd did and didn't do as our rewal estate agent. He worked with us November 2013 - February 2014, and still we have not received any kind of thank you gift or congratulation gift from from him. We did though receive a Sorry gift from the builder and company for the wrong doing on there part. Just goes to show you some people just don't deserve to be given any kind of second chance after acts of disrespect and failure to perform. I URGE YOU TO NOT CALL THIS AGENT. HE MADE OUR EXPERIENCE OF PURCHASING A NEW HOME A LIVING HELL AND WAS THE MOST DIFFICULT PROCESS I'VE EVER DONE.  MoreLess

I cannot imagine that a customer could ever feel this way. All my other ratings are 5-star and would suggest that my other reviews will provide better guidance of the satisfaction of my clients.

Sold a Single Family home in 2014 for approximately $250K in North Bend, WA.
I couldn't recommend John Casserd more highly. He is hands down the reason my husband and I own our home today. From finding us our dream home to walking us through the entire purchase process, he was there and available every step of the way. John is intelligent and insightful, bringing with him years of experience in real estate. He made the entire process simple and enjoyable which is saying a lot when buying a home. John always makes himself available to answer even the simplest of questions and is always quick to respond to your needs and concerns. He truly is the best at what he does and was with us until the moment we closed and he walked us into our new home. We would not be without John in any future real estate endeavors.  MoreLess

Sold a Single Family home in 2013 for approximately $525K in Seattle, WA.
John was very professional. He always kept our best interests in mind. His skills in advertising and negotiating contributed to our receiving an offer we accepted in less than 2 weeks since our listing date. John was always available and involved in the process from the day we signed a listing agreement to the day we moved out of our home. His involvement was key to our getting the price we accepted. We would not hesitate to use John again should we need real estate expertise. We consider John not just a real estate professional but a very good friend.  MoreLess
