Bought a Single Family home in 2012 for approximately $175K in Fredericksburg, VA.

Edwin is a fantastic Realtor to work with. He understood our budget and worked to find us a house that would be a great fit for our needs. He was flexible with his schedule and available on short notice to show us houses the day they were listed. We were his first closing and he handled it like a seasoned professional, even when issues arose with the sellers while we were signing the papers. in the end, we got a great deal on a house that we love thanks to Edwin's hard work and tactful negotiation skills. We plan to use Edwin again if/when we decide to buy a new home.

Bought a home in 2014.

Edwin was really great to work with. I'm a first time home buyer and he was the best possible person to work with. He was never afraid to point out a problem or suggest a solution. There were many steps in the process that I wasn't familiar with and he was so helpful. It's amazing how many other realtors can be condecending if you don't know what something is or the long term effects of the issue. He wasn't like that at all. He was always willing to explain something or offer insights from past experiences. When it came to negotiating I couldn't have asked for anything better. We were on a budget and so was the seller. Had we done it on our own we would of lost a ton of money. He was upfront about their financial situation and gave a serious and well thought out opinion on what we should offer and what to negotiate. In the end we ended up with a beautiful property in fairfax, a big lawn, lots of square footage and definitely at a steal.

Bought a Single Family home in 2014 for approximately $475K in Fairfax, VA.

Edwin was an amazing realtor. To start, we met Edwin at a house after casually Zillow shopping. He met us at the first house and I was instantly impressed. The first trait that came to mind was honesty. He has no issue giving his honest opinion of a house or situation. Edwin knows his houses and is consistently positive. On every walkthrough Edwin was able to point out deficiencies and give his honest evaluation of the house. After dragging him to more than 25 showings (all of which he was very excited and happy to show us) we found our house. Edwin guided us through the entire buying process and listened to every one of my concerns and responded accordingly. He'd give his opinion during negotiations, but would make me feel comfortable if I chose a different path. He was always available if I had questions (always!). After owning the house for a month I was excited to invite Edwin to our house for a BBQ. With Edwin you won't get just a realtor, you'll get a friend.

Sold a Single Family home in 2013 for approximately $550K in Manassas, VA.

Continually late for appointments

Spotty Responsiveness

Rarely gave us property listings and we had to do most of the homework and “drive-bys”

We asked for short sale and foreclosure listings – Never provided

Inexperience negotiation skills

Applied continuous pressure on signing “exclusivity agreement”, purchase price, properties of interest and etc.

During the home inspection he offered to pay for an identified issue rather than work with listing agent for resolution.

At one point during the closing process, Edwin actually told us that if we wanted to ask a particular question of the sellers that we should ask the listing agent directly and even provided her phone number.

When we asked him to inquire with the listing agent about an issue found during final inspection Edwin was adamant about not bringing this up to the listing agent until we had to remind him that realtors are required by law to present all offers on behalf of their clients. That conversation with him was basically the last conversation we had with Edwin....

The only reason we did not change Realtors was we were bound to his services for the purchase of our desired home and did not want to lose that property. If we did not have interest in the property he showed, we would have let Edwin go after the second week.

Overall, we found the home buying experience with Edwin to be less than satisfactory. The most surprising of all has been the fact that he spent only 10 minutes at our closing and has yet to make a single post-closing phone call or to us. NOTHING since everything was finalized. We felt the need to share our experience so that hopefully lessons can be learned from our experience and that future clients are treated better than we were. We felt like a paycheck and nothing more. We hope your real-estate experience proves better than ours.

Most of these accusations are simply not true. I worked very hard and diligently on their case and it was not easy working with the husband. 1. The lack of feedback post closing was due to the fact that I was asked by my team leaders at the time not to contact them. However we did go back and forth about potential help with renting their other home. -One must have some understanding from time to time that there are customers who simply can't be pleased (considering I was in my first year as an agent, hence I was part of a team to receive their advice). 2. I was assured in an email post this review that they are loving their new home and are very happy. I might add that we negotiated a knock-out deal for them on a quiet and private street.

We didn't think that we were in a position to buy a home but Edwin convinced us to take the leap into homeownership! As first time home buyers, Edwin took the time to explain everything and helped walk us through the entire process! He listened attentively to help us find exactly what we were looking for! He made us feel like we were his only clients. He was always available day or night and he took the time to show me properties during the day and if one was promising he would make the time to show it to my husband in the evening! We would recommend Edwin to anyone looking to buy or sell!
