Has anyone heard about the military extension for the BIG tax credit?
For those military folks out there... the current tax credit deal is you have to be under contract by April 30th 2010 and close by June 30 2010 in order to receive an $8,000 tax credit (for first time homebuyers) or a $6,500 tax credit (for existing homebuyers). HOWEVEVR, if you are military and have deployed for at least 90 days since January 1st 2009, this benefit is extended. You now have until April 30th 2011 to go under contract and must close by June 30th 2011 to receive the same benefit.
Has anyone else noticed the difficulty in getting financing for even "good" risk buyers these days?
It is surprising to me that the "pendulum" has swung so far the other way that even good credit risks/buyers cannot get financing. I had buyers with no debt, credit scores over 720, lots of assets, and signifigant money in savings that still could not get quality financing. Very frustrating to say the least. I am concerned about the near future of the national housing market, not so much here in Enid, but as a country as a whole, I do have concern.
Is the Enid "rental" market anything other than just H.O.T?
