Raised in New York City and New Jersey, Eric J. Diloné has been working in Hoboken, Manhattan, and downtown Jersey City since 1995. He comments, "seeing the changing face of ‘The Hudson' has been very exciting. Being a part of that positive change is rewarding." More Less
Eric places all of his previous experience in sales and marketing at his client's disposal.
Following a 13-year career in the advertising and publishing fields, as a photographer, designer/art director, and marketing director, he became a real estate professional in 2007. "After becoming a home-owner myself, I realized just how important it is to have proper representation when placing hundreds of thousands of dollars –sometimes millions– in the hands a real estate broker. I set out to become the broker that I myself would want to have, with professionalism, integrity, dedication, and...creativity." Sellers appreciate his eye for detail and marketing expertise when developing an effective sales strategy. He explains, "preparing a property to be sold, and having a solid plan to showcase it to buyers, are critical components in protecting the owner's equity and delivering top market value." Homebuyers also value Eric's objective and analytical approach to buying property. "My goal is to advise buyers so they can make a choice that's in line with their goals—a choice that they won't regret later on. I am driven by the belief that buying a home should be a gratifying and positive experience, and not a difficult process. The complexity of today's real estate transactions sometimes calls for creativity in order to get it done. My clients not only benefit from my relentless problem-solving approach, they count on it."
Along with real estate sales, Eric has been involved in the marketing direction of new construction and renovation projects in Hoboken and Jersey City. "A Condominiums" (389 Washington St.), "South Pointe" (662 1st St.), and "The Flats at 327" (327 3rd St.) are just some of the buildings he has had the privilege of developing marketing campaigns for, including name/branding, advertising strategy, collateral development, and sales/presentation training. "Being able to work with developers in the ‘birth (or rebirth)' of a building is fantastic. There is so much value in knowing how to present a new community to the public. It can mean the difference between some people liking it, or everyone absolutely loving it."
A significant part of Eric's real estate success comes from staying current with market trends, technology, and education – all leveraged to his client's advantage. In 2013 Eric received his Broker licensure, a level of certification that only 1 out of 10 real estate licensees in the country ever reach. The required training has added a crucial component to his ability to interact with and mentor fellow realtors®, manage sales teams, and uphold the industry code of ethics and standards. "In collaborating with my peers, and acting in our client's best interests, I am now also held to a higher standard of conduct and professionalism. It not only aids me to be successful, it helps uplift the entire brokerage industry to be better recognized and respected."
When he's not working with clients, Eric enjoys time with family and friends. "It's important to keep things in perspective and remember why we do what we do. It's about our quality of life and the happiness of those we care for." In his off-hours he tours museums, art galleries, jazz venues, and restaurants in the NY metro area. An avid world traveler having visited over 25 countries, and with an interest in culture and languages, "I try to explore at least one new country every year, and learn a new language every ten. So far so good!"
