I was born in Whittier, California and spent many of my childhood years in Santa Barbara my family moved to Auburn and purchased a home on Shadow Drive in Lake of the Pines. I first became familiar with this community delivering newspapers on my bicycle! In 1989, I married Shannon Bearry and we went on to become the proud parents of Lauren, Carter, Madeline, Brayden, and Gracie.
 
The purchase of our own home in 1995 taught us a few lessons about real estate. We purchased a bank owned home and experienced great frustration by what seemed to be a lack of concern and even consideration on the part of the bank and their agent. It was at this time I committed myself to always be sensitive to the feelings and concerns of others surrounding the sale or purchase of a home.
 
A successful real estate transaction is built upon two things: the strength of the relationship between agent and client, and the experience to get things done. When I first start working with new clients, I work hard to determine their exact needs and desires before delving into home sales or purchases. I take my clients needs seriously and will never push them into something that isn't right for them. I am also well respected by my peers and have developed invaluable working relationships with other professionals in the industry such as title companies, attorneys, lenders, contractors and appraisers.  Additionally, I have personally owned rental units, commercial real estate, and investment properties.
 
In early 2009, I bought Century 21 Foothill Realty and have been striving to help others learn the real estate business. My goals are to pass my knowledge on and grow this office which has helped literally thousands of families relocate to this beautiful area. My immediate and extended family of 29 is very active in the community, and you'll find I am a great resource for information about Auburn and the surrounding areas. As the saying goes: "there is no place like home," and the ability to provide for your family and future through cash-flow and appreciating investments is priceless.

      Bought a home in 2014.
      Being a first time home buyer can be completely stressful and overwhelming because there's so much to do and so much to learn. We were so lucky to have been referred to Eric Hatch by a friend of ours. He is THE BEST! I cannot say enough good things about him. He walked us through every step, working with us on the offer, making sure we got the inspections we needed, having the seller fix things for us before we moved in, and so much more. I know Eric has a lot of other clients, but he makes you feel like you're the only person he's working with. He gets back to you fast, always keeps you up to date, and patiently answers your all of your questions (even if you have 500 questions like I did).       An agent must possess multiple skills and employ them wisely and in a timely manner. Eric does this, with a smile, and no sighs of frustration.
