I was born here in Jackson and raised on a farm in Hanover for the first 18 years of my life. I graduated from Concord schools where I met my wife, Carna Ropp and mother our three kids, Jazmin, Colton & Logan. We enjoy our family time and love to travel, camp and see new things and places. 

During school I worked with my dad and his plumbing company B.E.A.R. Plumbing and loved that opportunity and exposure to the construction trades. After high school I went to JCC for Architecture, I then took a job with a local family owned Property management company working with rentals, renters & investors. That just fueled my passion for the Real Estate industry and added one more piece to my experiences and abilities.

Shortly there after Carna had just finished 2 years of college in business management and we chose to take a vacation to Utah. Once there and having the opportunity to experience the west, the big city, their strong economy and real estate market we decided to stay and make the most of that opportunity. Right away I secured a job with the post office while I pursued my real estate education. After obtaining my sales license I jumped right into the market not having any personal contacts or previous knowledge of the market or areas I knew right I was going to have to dig in and stand out to make it. With my past experiences with construction and Real estate right away I stood out and found success I worked and fast and my proactive ways and above average ability to preform gave me a great name that allowed me to assist just over 35 wonderful clients my first year either buy and/or sell a home. Over my four year Utah real estate career I averaged just over 50 sales a year. I really enjoy the relationships and connection I built and the lives I had the opportunity to touch.

During our time in Utah we did purchase our first home, got married and have our first born, Jazmin. I also knew that my days were numbered living so far away from both of our extended families so I begun to plan a way to transition back to Michigan and stay active in business.

I'm a licensed Realtor with RE/MAX Mid-Michigan, my office is in Jackson. I love that every day i'm working with people helping them buy and or sell their home, investments and or vacant properties/land. There honestly is NOTHING I would rather be doing! I enjoy what I do so much that I really don't and can't even consider it work : ) it's my hobby and passion that I happen to get paid for.

      Sold a Single Family home in 2011 in Jackson, MI.
      Eric is an arrogant person who tried to tell me what I was looking for in my new home. He never asked me any questions about what I really wanted in a home; in fact he was condescending and pushy. He is your typical, high pressure salesman. He even used sexist language and foul words in front of me. I would not recommend buying a doghouse from Eric Ropp, much less a house.  MoreLess

      I appreciate you taking the time to write a review! However this is a personal attack not a review. Your comments are very inaccurate of how I talk to clients and how I treat clients. If you can get me copies of the emails or a log record of our phone calls that would be helpful. Unless you can support your claims your review should be retracted. Identifying your self would also be a noble move, considering Im transparent & honorable personally and in business! I am 100% opposite of your review. I do not care if a buyer buys in 30 days or 30 months, Im helpful & patient. I have been working 65/70 hours a week to meet my clients needs. I hope at some point your real estate needs are met too!

      Bought a Single Family home in 2011 for approximately $50K in Jackson, MI.
      I was 19 looking to purchase my first home. After going through quite a few real estate agents who refused to take me seriously because Im guessing my age, I found Eric! The whole process was very new to me and I was very concerned about being taken advantage of. Eric did such a great job with us! He took us to see plenty of houses and let us know his personal opinion on the houses, the work they needed done, and a rough estimate of what we were getting ourselves into. It was such a relief to have some support going through it. Finally, after finding the house we wanted, we called to make an offer on it and was told that they had already accepted an offer. We were bummed, but Eric kept us looking and kept us positive! When all hope had seemed lost, Eric called me and told me that the house we had originally wanted was going back up for sale and something had fell through with the previous offer. He was great, he called within an hour of it being back up for sale! We put our offer in and was accepted before the house was even advertised back online! It was fate, lol. Everything came together after that and Eric helped make it possible so we were moved in just 3 weeks later. I could always get ahold of Eric with any questions I had, and I had a lot!       Sold a Condo home in 2012 for approximately $75K in Jackson, MI.
      Eric was great to deal with, able to answer every question and if not he was quick to find the answer and get back to us. He's fast moving with paperwork, very knowledgable with real estate in general. Overall a great person to work with and would definetly recommend him to anyone buying or selling a home.  MoreLess
