Bought a Condo home in 2013 for approximately $275K in Carmel Valley, San Diego, CA.
Erica was the best realtor I have ever had and this is the 6th home that I have purchased. She set good expectations of what I could get for my money and gave excellent recommendations. She was patient with my questions and concerns and tirelessly took me to numerous locations so that I knew without a doubt that I purchased in the best location and got the best home for my money. In fact even AFTER I closed and moved in, she did a market study which proved I made an excellent investment. Erica got me the best lender and negotiated for him to pay the appraisal and for the seller to pay all of my closing costs. She was a pleasure to be around and was very responsive in all manner of communication whether it was by text, email, phone or in person. I never ever felt once in the process that I was forgotten or neglected or blown off no matter how trivial the issue.
Sold a Single Family home in 2013 for approximately $275K in Chollas Creek, San Diego, CA.
I would highly recommend Erica! She was fantastic to work with during the sale of my home. When I first contacted Erica it was just to get some basic information on the process of selling a home that I had inherited and would be eventually selling. I had never sold a home and really needed help. She came prepared with everything I would need to know. She was very kind and patient and was available whenever I had questions even though I wasn't quite ready to sell. I appreciated that she was willing to help me and never pressured me to list it. During the sale she was fantastic and made everything go very smoothly for me.
Bought a Single Family home in 2011 for approximately $300K in Egger Highlands, San Diego, CA.
My wife and I started with one agent, then had another, and then another until we finally found one who helped us find the right house for us without any problems. Erica Bass changed her schedules around to accommodate the wife and I because of our work schedules. We would find a house we thought was interesting, tell Erica and she would let us know where and when to meet to look at the house. I can't recall how long it took us with the whole process but then again we didn't want just any house. Erica found us the home we now own and we couldn't be happier. She also helped us with all, I mean all, the paperwork associated with buying a house. I have recommended Erica to quite a number of people who are interested in purchasing a home whether they buy now or later. I know they would be in good hands with her. I could honestly say that I was a nervous wreck during the process of buying a home; however, Erica somehow managed to calm all the worries and fears and made things really simple and smooth.
Bought a Condo home in 2012 for approximately $275K in East Village, San Diego, CA.
I am an active duty servicemember and was deployed for most of 2012, and had always planned on purchasing my first home when I returned from overseas. Erica came highly recommended to me through a friend who had purchased a beautiful home with her help. I began exchanging emails with Erica very, very early on in the process (8 months in advance of my return) to familiarize myself with the market, give Erica an idea of what I was looking for, and get an idea -as a clueless first time home buyer- of what to expect of the process. By the final month of my deployment, we had figured out exactly what for and where we were looking, price ranges and even had some properties we were watching closely. When I returned, we quickly found something I liked and proceeded with the offer and buying process. I closed in around a month and am now living happily on my property.
My experience with Erica was outstanding. One thing I want to be very clear on is how above and beyond her responsibility she went at all stages in the process. My roommate on deployment was also going through his initial homebuying and was surprised at how un-personable and cold his realtor was with him. He did only what he was required to do and nothing more, treating my buddy like a name on a list and not a person. I never felt that way with Erica.
At the beginning of the process, I was surprised at how helpful she was to someone who was at least 8 months away from the buying point. I had a very vague idea of what I wanted and even less idea of what to expect from the experience. She very patiently and at length helped me sort through all of this, which I'm sure gets old when dealing with first-timers. She put me in touch with her preferred lender, who was a home run as well, and we proceeded with the pre-approval. For the following months she helped me decide where and what I was looking for, and I returned to the States having a great understanding of what I wanted and how to go about it. She is an expert on the market and the process, and she never once had to look something up to answer something I asked.
We had a list of properties to visit when I got back home, and I fell in love with one of the first ones we looked at. She helped me make the decision and finally I pulled the trigger on the offer. She helped me get exactly what I asked for in the negotiation process, letting me know what was realistic AND the best deal. The seller, I'm sorry to say, was not very professional, and without complaint Erica picked up the slack and followed up on phone calls, double checked signatures, and expedited the process in a major way. Keep in mind that much of this wasn't even her job to do, but she had enough professional pride to make this project just as much her own as mine.
Offer was accepted, and we proceeded with the escrow process. More problems with my new HOA and the seller, and again Erica stepped in when she didn't have to and helped me sort some things out. She checked in often and followed up with everything. Finally, the day I got the keys, the seller turned out to have not programmed my key fobs correctly. Erica, whose job was completely over at this point, dropped what she was doing to help my fix the situation. That is a level of pride in someone's work that's just not common anywhere.
So to summarize my experience, I very highly recommend working with Erica. She is an expert on the local market. She knew her job and everyone else's job backwards and forwards, in the dark, underwater, as we say. I never waited over a day for an email response, even months before I got home, and she responded to every problem that came up immediately and expertly. She got me exactly what I wanted in a property and in a price, and followed through completely. But the thing that stands out to me the most is her level of professionalism and the personal pride she takes in her work. She takes ownership of the project and genuinely cares about it. This isn't just uncommon in her industry, it's uncommon everywhere, and it has a profound effect on the bottom line experience. In the end, I had quite a bit of fun with it, which is how it SHOULD feel to buy your first home, and when the time comes to get the second one, I know who I'll call.
Bought a Single Family home in 2012 for approximately $375K in Santee, CA.
Erica is a great resource when it came to buying our home. She worked with us for over six months until the perfect house became available. She is very responsive and determined to make her clients satisfied. Her knowledge and experience with homes in the East county made is very helpful since my husband and I were relatively new to the area. We told Erica what we were looking for in a neighborhood and she was quick to provide us with recommendations. I would gladly work with Erica again in the future.

I chose Erica Bass as my agent based off of her impresive background. Erica was such a pleasure to work with during the entire process of buying my first home. Her years of experience kept up with my million questions. She listened to all my needs and wants and found great options for me to choose from. Erica showed such professionalism and looked out for the best interest of me and my family and she was more than willing to help stear me in all the right directions at any time of day. She has great relationships with everyone in the business from lenders to contractors, I used everyone she recommended and had a great experience with all of them as well. I had such a great experience with Erica that I recommended her to 4 people right after I closed and all have used or are going to use Erica as their agent in the near future! You will be more than pleased if you have Erica as your agent!!

Erica Bass is an aggressive representative for her client. She will continue to present and show as many properties as necessary and will continue to research while the process continues. Erica pays attention to the smaller items such as personal property and even small closing items. I give her the highest rating.
While my wife and i were searching for THE house we allowed Erica bass take the lead in finding the perfect home for us. She was awesome and took the time out on the weekends and evening taking us around to about 15 different homes. Cant wait to use her again.
