I am an Oregon native and a long time Eugene/Springfield resident. I have been in the mortgage business for over 20 years, and the finance industry for over 25 years. I enjoy my job and have no greater joy that helping someone buy that first home or get through a rough patch in their life. I was widowed just about a two and a half ago. It was a major change in my life since we had been married for 35 years. My son and family now share my home.
I am an active member of the Springfield Board of Realtors and Lane County Women's Council of Realtors. I teach classes to Realtors and home buyers are various seminars and webinars.
Senior Mortgage Consultant with Alpine Mortgage Planning in Eugene/Springfield Oregon. Author of four blogs on lending practices. Please check out some of my recommendations below:
Bobby Stevens Real Estate Broker, Eugene's Alternative - Realtors
(business partner) was with another company when working with me
"Representing home buyers on a purchase last year, it became apparent that their lender could not adequately explain the details of the construction loan required for a fixer property. Knowing Fred's expertise with FHA 203k streamline loan packages, I recommended my clients consult with him. They were sufficiently impressed to give him their business, and though meeting all the FHA requirements proved challenging, Fred rose to the occasion, going above and beyond the call of duty to coordinate with multiple parties and help bring the transaction to a successful close. I felt great knowing that my clients were able to buy with confidence, fully informed about all the details of their purchase." February 9, 2010
Brian Whalen (client) Brian hired me as a Mortgage Consultant in 2009
Top qualities: Personable, Expert, High Integrity
"I chose Fred because of his depth of knowledge regarding FHA and government mortgage loans. Other brokers were unable to navigate the complexities of government loans at a time when all banks were making it tough to get loans regardless of a client's good credit. Fred always answered my questions in a timely manner and never passed the complexity of the process on to me. Furthermore, he always kept a positive attitude and sense of humor, making it easier on all involved!" January 22, 2010
Kirk Faulkner, District Manager, Alpine Mortgage
(colleague - corporate) worked with me "Fred Chamberlin is a consummate professional. He is a student of the industry and a valued resource for his clients and referral partners. Now more than ever, experience is essential in helping people navigate the confusing and complicated waters of residential mortgage lending. With his constant commitment to continuing education and self improvement, Fred is able to exceed client' s expectations and help them experience buying a new home or refinancing their current home with less stress." Lori Palermo, GRI, Managing Broker, Fairway Real Estate
(business partner) Realtor working with me. In my 15 years of involvement in the real estate industry, I have worked with a number of banks, mortgage companies and lenders. My most recent transaction with Fred Chamberlin was truly a pleasure from start to finish. Sometimes working with first time home buyers can be a challenge, but Fred's years of mortgage experience coupled with his knowledge of the current market, his ability to offer a full range of products and programs and his commitment to make every transaction a successful one is why Fred is always my first call when working with new buyers.
