I worked with Evelyn this past year and it was a wonderful experience. I was a first time home buyer with lots of questions! Evelyn was very responsive, which is what I needed! I was able to contact her at anytime, anyday! She knew the area very well which was also nice. When buying a foreclosure home, theres little room for negotiation, if any at all, and Evelyn was willing to negotiate time and again until I was satisfied:) I would recommend using Evelyn to anyone, and especially first time home buyers :)
Sold a Multi Family home in 2013 for approximately $150K in South Hampton, Saint Louis, MO.
Evelyn is very competent and one of the smartest in the business. I felt though that she saw me as a mark, and sought at every turn to bend things to her advantage. I do not trust her counsel if there is a difference in choices that put her best interest at a disadvantage. I did not seek to give this review she requested I make the review so I am not out to get her. I am more severe because I was going thru a life threatening illness while selling. I was at a complete disadvantage and I do not think this phased her one bit. I had to make a decision to sell one property and abandon another. I asked her for advice on the one I needed to abandon. She would not answer my question about the ramifications of abandonment until I just made the decision. She then confirmed that it was the right decision but I felt that she held that info back hoping to get some advantage while I twisted in the breeze. I also felt she may have been interested in picking my bones on that house to help a high dollar client who had more rental property in the neighborhood. Not happy with her at all.

Barry, so sorry that you feel this way. I talked to you more than once about doing a short sale or abandoning the property but I am not a lawyer, just a real estate agent, so really can't tell you what the ramifications of abandonment may be. As for the sale, we got a fair price for the property based on the area, current market and condition of the property. I always have my clients best interest at heart and did when I was representing you on this transaction. You needed to make a quick "as-is" sale and we did that at a list price that you agreed upon. I hope your health is doing better.

Evelyn was fantastic. She was very knowledgeable and honest. We looked at many houses over the last 9 months and we felt she was on our side the whole time. Never pushy, and she gave her honest opinion. When it came down to negotiations she really came through for us several times. She saved us thousands of dollars on our first home purchase. She made time for us, even though we were particular in what times we could look at houses. Another great thing about her is that she spotted several problems with potential homes. She also had excellent resources that she would check in with if there were problems in certain areas of the home. Recommended a great home inspector as well. She is very laid back and funny. We always looked forward to looking at houses with her. She has many years of experience and it really shows! Would highly recommend her.
