I found Clay on this blog. Asked him if he could help us with a refinance that we had been getting roadblocks from everyone else we talked to. He responded to my email instantly, followed up, explained that our situation was something that he doesn't handle and put us in contact with someone that can help us. It was after two weeks of advising me on generic loan scenarios that I let him know I would actually like to go with him to move forward with the loan. His sterling service continued with sound advice on holding for the best rate, maximizing credits / minimizing costs, and gladly clarifying and going over scenarios well into the process. Literally I would send him an email and get a response back within 30 minutes at all times of the day and night! Paperwork and follow-ups digitally or FedEx’d overnight. He even called after hours to help with notary appointments etc.
As younger home owner … Clay’s combination of expertise, honesty, desire to create the best deal on behalf of the consumer, and importantly - ease of accessibility(!!!) by phone / email / text, make him the ideal mortgage professional to work with.
