Bought a home in 2010.

My wife and I spent over a year looking for the perfect beach place that could serve as a combination of a usable family beach home and an appreciable asset. From day one, Henry treated us with thoughfulness and care. He showed us neighborhoods in Lewes, Rehoboth and Bethany and worked with us to hone our tastes and key decision factors (which changed a few times as he acquainted us more with the neighborhoods and local market). Henry always managed to get to our requests even though I know he had many clients who were looking at bigger and more expensive houses. He listened carefully to what we wanted and made adjustments to what he was showing.

When it came time to make an offer, he consulted with us on a variety of strategies to make sure we got what we were looking for out of the deal and also helped us to understand how our offers might be perceived by sellers - so that we could find a win-win strategy. While our first contract fell through, he coached us to keep looking instead of just moving to the offered price because it was not a perfect fit for us. This was ultimately a winning approach because shortly after that, we found a neighborhood that we loved - except none of the units were for sale. Henry reached out personally to a number of owners and found two who were willing to sell. In doing so, he shook loose an opportunity for us and for a family that wanted to sell to free up money for their kids to go to college. Don't they call that a "win-win-win"?
