Quicken Loans, come to your own conclusion...

Hi everybody! This is quite a lively discussion and I realize I'm coming in a bit late.Everyone seems to be going back and forth about Quicken Loans and how we operate. If anyone has direct questions about us, feel free to message me directly. I'd love the opportunity to debunk some of the myths I see floating around. As for all the links with complaints about us - as lenders, I'm sure you all well understand that sometimes a mortgage does not work out how either party plans it to happen. I can assure you that we take a deposit to cover our 3rd party costs and we do credit the deposit back to the clients at closing. That's our policy and we make every effort to be sure our clients are aware of it. It's a very simple way to do business and it's what we've found works for us and our clients. We funded $19 billion in loans last year - proving our process is working. The fact is that 94% of our clients would recommend us to friends and family and we've always felt that was the ultimate compliment. To the other lenders warning and/or advising RobandRegina - I think it's fantastic you guys care so much. Sincerity is not something you come across everyday - especially in the lending industry. So thank you for your concern - I've contacted the client and have offered to answer any questions I can about their loan. I have complete faith in my company and in the banker assisting them. I, too, agree that it's important to be careful when dealing with such a large asset (like a home) and can assure you we'll do everything we can to make the client's loan work out as they hope.We certainly can appreciate all the interest and discussion. If you have any specific questions for us, do not hesitate to contact me directly through our profile. Thanks!

Quicken Loans, come to your own conclusion...

Hi again! I'm back! Sorry I didn't get back in the convo sooner, I was finishing homework from Home Loan Guru class. It's a tough one... =)I wanted to answer a question about our client satisfaction rate - we give a questionnaire after every loan closes with 4-5 questions asking our clients to rank their Mortgage Banker, their Client Care Specialist, their overall experience and whether they would recommend us to friends and family. There is also space for them to comment on anything they'd like. We pull our statistics and many testimonials from that questionnaire. From that, 94% of clients would recommend us to their friends and family based on their loan experience with us. With the $19 billion we funded in loans last year, it really starts to add up too!Regina - it was great to talk to you. I've spoke with your Mortgage Banker, Joe, and told him all the great things you said - he's very grateful and said some lovely things about you, too!Again, any questions or complaints, feel free to get in touch. Have a great day, everybody!

Quicken Loans, come to your own conclusion...

Good question, Velma! We're actually #2 on FORTUNE Magazine's "100 Best Companies to Work For in America" in 2008. The main reason cited for our team members loving to work here is "the ability to make a difference," to which I couldn't agree more. Every day I come to work, I know what I do changes our business - if something goes wrong, there isn't a lame process or chain of command to go through. We fix it. It's never about who is right, it's about what is right. We live by a list of principles called "ISMs," and they really give the background to how everything works here. You can read them here. Or, if you want more insight into the company, check out our company blog - What's The DIFF? Read the article in FORTUNE here.See us on Good Morning America here.Read QL's company blog post about our FORTUNE #2 ranking here on the DIFF. Thanks for asking!

Quicken Loans, come to your own conclusion...

Yikes. Lots of irritation in this thread. It sucks that it has turned out like this.About me - I work for Quicken Loans and have been in real estate/mortgages myself for the last 9 years. I am here to represent Quicken Loans as a whole. I do not work for our PR team or anything like that. I'm sorry that I know a lot about my company and was answering questions that were asked of me in this discussion. That is all I was attempting to do.About working here - I feel I need to defend myself and I hate it. The reality is, we're a large company. There are times when we are going to come under fire, it's almost a guarantee. Some people will not like working here, some will love it. The only reason we're the #2 company to work for in the nation is because our employees voted and gave their opinions. It's not a PR move. It's my teammates commenting on their jobs that got us the #2 position.Bottom line - this forum, or Zillow as a whole for that matter, is not here to bash anyone or any company. I did not come in here to talk about any other company - I didn't even say anything until we came under fire. I've never said a bad word about any single one of you, your company or any other company. I've answered your questions and talked to a client who is in process with us.This (Zillow) is a place to help clients. I would much rather spend time quoting clients and trying to close their loans than defend myself and my company or question anyone else's operations. That said, I hope you all feel the same. Our time can be much better spent helping clients as the Mortgage Marketplace was intended. I hope this is one thing we can all agree on.Thanks again and let's help some clients!
