Gretchen is a consummate professional who was a joy to work with. From getting the house ready to sell, to pricing and the sales process, she was understanding, helpful and always available to answer questions. Well, the other reviews sum up Gretchen as a real estate agent, so let me speak to her specific qualities that make her so successful.
Gretchen understands people. She thinks, takes it all in, really puts on her antennae when dealing with people. She is extremely good at seeing your needs through your eyes. This, combined with her extraordinary integrity, gives her an uncanny ability to respond to her clients' situations and time-tables. She knows when to let the client "ripen", when to make suggestions, and when to close like a barracuda. Yet she is remarkably down to earth and warm and genuine. It's no wonder that she has been hugely successful in every business endeavor she has been involed in.
I have enormous respect for Gretchen as a person and as a professional real estate agent. I would give her my highest recommendation.

Sold a home in 2012.
This is the second time we used Gretchen (to buy and sell our home in North Andover) and we would use her again if the need arises. In fact, we sold our house because of Gretchen's contacts and knowledge of the area.

We found Gretchen to be easy to work with. She has a thorough knowledge of real estate and the area towns. She has a keen sense for staging a home and what appeals to buyers. She is an excellent marketer and is able to have information of past and current markets at her finger tips. Gretchen’s most outstanding attribute is her people skills that range from guiding a seller in preparing their house to sell, understanding pricing, and her superior negotiating skills. She is able to take a stressful situation and, through her calm and soothing manor, make all those involved less anxious and willing to work together. Gretchen always goes that extra mile for her clients.

Simply the best real estate agent ever!! She worked with us over an extended period of time as our needs changed. That being said she never stopped looking for us but at the same time never pushed. She observed and asked questions to help us define where and what we needed in our home purchase. She respected both our budget constraints and time. We purchased a modest home thru her but got the level of service you would expect if you were buying a multi-million dollar home. Her advice when it came to offer time was knowledgeable and her negotiating skills masterfull. She kept us focused on what was the big stuff and what was small stuff thru the whole transaction. The other service providers such as the home inspector and attorney were equally knowledgeable. Can not recommend her often enough just top notch!

We used Gretchen as a buyers agent for our recent home search, which was primarily focused on the North Andover (MA) market. As a result of our experience, I would highly recommend Gretchen.
She brings tremendous knowledge/insight into the local market, significant real estate experience (which really comes into play during the negotiation/closing process), and a data-driven approach to the table. She also took a significant amount of time to understand and help us craft what our specific needs were and exhibited patience and responsiveness by showing us a wide variety of homes over the course of several months.
She was an invaluable component of our very successful real estate search.
