Listed, but didn't sell my Single Family home in 2014 in West Colorado Springs, Colorado Springs, CO.

We would not recommend Ian Stone for a Realtor for two primary reasons:

1) His apparently apathy toward his customers. Aside from a brief walk-through interaction with Ian, we never heard from him again. As a customer, one would expect a check-in every so often from the manager regardless of how well things are going, and especially if things are going poorly. If a Realtor doesn't appear concerned about his customers, how hard is he working to sell your house?

2) Misleading. Realtors are salesman and need to get customers, but we were initially presented with an encouraging quick sell at a good price; this turned into the team never selling our house even with our dropping the price every time they encouraged us to do so. After 5 months, the resulting list price was about 10% under the initial price with the team asking us to drop it more. There is being a little ambitious, and then there is being truly misleading for the sake of getting another customer, and unfortunately we feel the latter was the case. Honestly is something to value in a business relationship.

We never turned down a showing, always dropped the price within a week or so of the team encouraging us to do so, and received good feedback. We feel they did not do a good job presenting the situation, and we are discouraged we never heard from Ian after our initial house walk-through - even once our contract was near/after expiration. It is about a week after our contract expired, and Ian has still not contacted us, nor has he picked up the for sale sign, nor has he removed the lock on our front door. Our primary contact was one of members of his team.

My wife and I chose to interview Ian's team based on these reviews - we would advise anyone to choose several Realtors to interview before making a decision. We would encourage anyone using these reviews to consider choosing a different Realtor, or at least keep our story in mind during the initial interview.

Sold a Single Family home in 2014 for approximately $150K in East Colorado Springs, Colorado Springs, CO.

We had a house in the 80917 zip code. It was pretty nice, everything newly updated, but it had not garage. When the Army moved me to Georgia, we put the house on the market to sell. We went with an agent (not Ian) initially. That lasted for about 4 months and, after getting no offers and lowering the price a few times, we switched to another agent (not Ian Stone). We got an offer almost immediately, however, it fell through in closing, and because of an error by the agent, we didn't get anything as payment when the buyer backed out. 8 months later, we switched agents again (not Ian Stone) and started short sale procedures. A month before we closed on a short sale, the sale fell through again and we were left behind on our mortgage without a buyer.

Finally, we went with Ian Stone. He had us under contract in less that a week and closed faster than our short sale mediator had ever seen before. Ian made the difference between us selling our house and us being forclosed upon. It would have ruined us. Not only that, he arranged it so we didn't have to bring anything to closing and even covered our maintenance costs until they could be rolled into closing. He went above and beyond on a house that was a lot more trouble that it was worth for him. He was always available and always positive and helpful.

If you want to buy or sell a house in Colorado Springs, go with Ian Stone. There's no one better (trust me, we went through a bunch).

Bought a Single Family home in 2009 for approximately $125K in Florissant, CO.

He's the only option for a realtor, works fast, keeps you in the loop for the entire process and and doesn't beat around the bush. He's honest and helpful. Has found us 2 homes (2009 + 2011) and is helping us sell one. We wouldn't choose another realtor!!

Ian did a great job as well as his team member Trevor Pialet. He and his team were wonderful to work with. They handled the sale of our house the way we wanted, as well as made great suggestions themselves. Thank you, Ian and Trevor, for making this an easy experience on us!

Sold a Single Family home in 2013 for approximately $300K in Northeast Colorado Springs, Colorado Springs, CO.

As a Pastor I take any recommendations that I make very serious. I want to share with you how when my wife and I met Ian Stone we were very distraught with our previous realtor. We had her for over 80 days and during that time, 3-weeks went buy without a single showing! Fearfully, we made the decision to switch realtors during our home sale. We were so fortunate to find Ian and his associate Nick to make us feel completely at ease. In less than 24-hours, Ian came (on a Saturday) to take photos himself and re-listed our home without any down time. With our previous realtor 3-weeks went by with no showings, with Ian we had a showing the very next day!

Here's what you should know about Ian Stone. His word is his bond. If he tells you something will be done at 10:00 am, it's done before that time. Furthermore, this guy is a marketing genius. He takes advantage of today's technology and always seems to be one step ahead of his competition. In our situation we didn't have time to take a wait and see approach to sell our house. Ian came up with a strategy and before we knew it, he was calling us with an offer on our house. Thanks to Ian Stone for being an honest and caring man who lives the motto "treat people like you would like to be treated!" Thank you Ian and Nick for taking care of my family… Pastor Steve

Sold a home in 2013.

After 3 years removed from buying my house through Ian Stone I recently sold my house through Ian Stone. Even though this process can be stressful, and overcoming he made me feel very inviting to be working with him. I have referred people to him and will continue to do so. I know there are a lot of agents out there and making a decision to go with the right one can be difficult, but I will not use anyone else for my buying and selling needs in the future!

Great, trustworthy guy! Ian is very knowledgable on the area and the market. He was very Kim and respectful while always listening to what we not. We never got the feeling that he was just trying to make a sale. Would absolutely recommend and will use again!

Ian helped me and my wife find our dream home with extreme urgency. I rarely got his voicemail and when I did he would give a call back within the hour. Very intelligent in the Marketing here in Colorado Springs, CO. He's a family man so he understands the meaning of a safe neighborhood. I give him 5 stars for an excellent job Thanks Ian

Great agent for anyone in Colorado Springs! Ian was very friendly, knowledgeable, and professional. We were able to quickly find the perfect home and even in this extremely competitive area, we closed on the house within a month. The whole experience went smooth and we are so happy in our new home. I had spoke with other agents I found through Zillow and they were not as helpful or understanding as Ian. He even helped us deal with issues caused by the seller after we moved in at his own expense. He is a really trustworthy person.
