Isabelle Megard helped me buy my first house, in September of 2013. The process of finding and looking at houses was very long, around two years. The reason was that I couldn't afford much and although prices had come down, a lot of the lesser-priced houses were in pretty rough shape. No matter how many times I asked to see a house, Isabelle was willing and clearly wanted me to find just the right place. She struck a good balance between advising and letting me make my own decisions. She was incredibly patient and willing when it came to looking at dozens of houses. She never made me feel rushed, was extremely responsive to my calls and emails, and was cheerful and calm through it all. For most of the time I was searching, I was involved in a non-profit organization that is supposed to help people with smaller incomes buy a house. (I ended up not using them to buy the house I eventually got). Despite their touted eagerness to help people, their processes and procedures were convoluted and exasperating. Their requirements were ridiculous. Isabelle was a trooper through all their demands and never made me feel I was putting her out. She does her absolute best by her clients and I highly recommend her.
