I am a native Texan living in the Great Northwest.
I've been in the construction industry since I graduated from high school. I chose this field because I love working outdoors and the smell of freshly cut lumber. I received my Real Estate license in 1999 and my Appraiser license in 2004. Currently, I am a Washington State licensed Home Inspector. JAKE Home Inspections is the name of my company. JA= Jordan Alexander, KE= Katherine Elizabeth, my 2 awesome kids.
The purpose of a home inspection is to assess the condition of the residence at the time of the inspection using visual observations, simple tools and normal homeowner operational controls; and to report deficiencies of specific systems and components. JAKE Home Inspections must perform all inspections in compliance with the Standards of Practice set forth by the Washington State Department of Licensing. Violations of the Standards of Practice and ethics are subject to disciplinary action under RCW 18.235.130. A home inspection is not technically exhaustive and does not identify concealed or latent defects.
In order to ensure the integrity and high standard of skill and practice in the home inspection profession, the following rules of conduct and ethics shall be binding upon JAKE Home Inspections.
JAKE Home Inspections must:
1. Provide home inspection services that conform to the WASHINGTON STATE home inspector's STANDARDS OF PRACTICE.
2. Provide full written disclosure of any business or familial relationships or other conflicts of interest between JAKE HI and any other party to the transaction. The parties may include, but are not limited to, buyers, sellers, appraisers, real estate licensees, mortgage representatives, title companies, vendors and service contractors.
3. Act as an unbiased party and discharge my duties WITH INTEGRITY AND FIDELITY TO THE CLIENT.
