About Jeff HANDwerger
Add personality to your profile! Tell the community about yourself, your home, and your profession.
JEFF HANDwerger loves real estate, fine architecture, and empowering his clients with his broad based knowledge and ability to navigate and negotiate the San Francisco and Marin County real estate markets.
Jeff's inspiration to enter the world of real estate was born when he read Ayn Rand's The Fountainhead in 1985. While the hero of the novel loved to design and build homes as an architect. Jeff loves to coordinate real estate deals.
In addition to overseeing hundreds or real estate transactions as an agent / broker, Jeff has also consulted and appraised hundreds of millions of dollars in real property, he has overseen development and construction projects ranging from $20,000 renovations to $40,000,000 condominium development projects. He holds a Master in Science in Real Estate Development and Investment from New York University.
Jeff re-joined Zephyr Real Estate in early 2010 after a stint as a senior Marketing Consultant at Sotheby's International Realty and several years of owning his own real estate company. He was the number 1 or number 2 Company Top Producing agent at Zephyr from 1995 through 1999.
He takes great pride in representing his client's best interests through excellent negotiation, and market analysis skills. He has helped buyers and sellers with many off market or not yet on the market opportunities. He specializes in helping homeownes that owe more than their home is worth and helps advise as to whether a loan modification, a short sale or other venues are the best course of action.
Jeff excels as an agent because of his greatest strength: educating his clients. He scours the market for favorable financing options, and looks for opportunities to add value to his clients. Jeff believes in social responsibility and in the value of homeownership. He has acted as the exclusive real estate agent for Habitat for Humanity San Francisco on a pro-bono basis since 1995. He has also actively supported and been a financial contributor to Rebuilding Together, the San Francisco Aids Project and the Jewish Community Federation.
