Florida Home Inspections
Up until 1st July 2011 the Florida home inspection industry was an unlicensed activity and many people were out their inspecting homes who did not have the experience or qualifications. Florida Statute 468 Part XV covers home inspection services (FS 468.8311) together with the requirements of the inspector. The Department of Business Professional Regulation (DBPR) now control the licensing in Florida. As detailed in the statute the definition of home inspection is below."Home inspection services" means a limited visual examination of the following readily accessible installed systems and components of a home: the structure, electrical system, HVAC system, roof covering, plumbing system, interior components, exterior components, and site conditions that affect the structure, for the purpose of providing a written professional opinion of the condition of the homeIf you or your clients have any questions with regards to home inspections in Florida I am happy to give you free advice.
