How do I get an idea of what my home is worth on Zillow?

I agree with previous posts, the only way to get an accurate value of your property is through a CMA. This can be done by a Realtor. Of course, keep in mind that your property is really  worth only or as much as the willing buyer offers. A CMA is one of the first things you should get before selling a house. Every house is different , therefore a CMA will not give you an exact value, but it will be a good starting point..... From there what counts next is your motivation - do you have to sell fast? You don`t care how long the house will be out there FOR SALE, etc......

In order to sell you must price it competitively. Buyers are now looking to get a "deal" rather than just buy something at a good price. It is a buyer`s market - therefore you can only lower the price and wait. Also, a good tactic would be to lower it significantly and get people into multiple offer situation, many times it works to seller`s benefit. You can actually get more money this way.....And if the offers come in very low, you still don`t have to accept any of them. Good Luck.
