Bought a Single Family home in 2010 in Overlook, Portland, OR.

Jack helped me find an investment property that was in foreclosure. He was able to provide an extensive list of comparables to help me arrive at a price I was comfortable offering and I won the sale in a sealed auction. He also was happy to recommend contractors who were able to provide estimates for building system repairs. All in all, a great experience and I would recommend Jack without hesitation.

Bought a Single Family home in 2013 for approximately $700K in Irvington, Portland, OR.

Quite simply, JACK IS THE BEST. We are in our dream house because of him.

First, a little background. Jack was staked out (as a favor to another agent friend of his) at a fixer-upper that my parents, in from out of town, my husband, and I were "trespassing" on. Really, we were just peering in the windows, but Jack opened the door wide and invited us to have a look around. I was expecting chastisement. When we took our leave, we also took a business card from him, though we wouldn't be in the market for a house for another two years.

As the time came closer for us to start fantasizing about houses, if not shopping for them, I found among my bookmarks a site,, not remembering how I had run across it in the first place. It winnowed all the listings down to the fabulous older places that I love. There were two that really caught my eye, and when I sent email inquires to Jack both times, he responded within the hour.

Karma had served Jack well, so, when the long-awaited time came and we had our down payment saved up, we started working with him. He encouraged us to go to a bunch of open houses, just to start to be able to recognize features that we liked and didn't.

One of the dream houses that had cropped up on his website was relisted. We arranged a showing as soon as possible. Jack called us that night, letting us know that a bid had been submitted, so he invited us over to his house at 9pm (!) to fill out the paperwork and submit ours. With his sound advice, our bid was accepted and the harrowing process (anyone who was as emotionally attached to a house as I was knows the agony of inspection/appraisal) began.

Jack was great, I must say, at "managing" the very different personalities of me and my husband. My husband was more stoic and loads more practical, while my needs for reassurance led me to wonder whether he'd lose patience. Not the case. He picked up the phone nearly every time and touched base during the post-inspection doldrums. His humor also kept my self-imposed drama in check.

Go with this guy. He has a Master's in Tax Law and loads of experience. He lives in the area he deals in, and so knows it well. We don't have kids, but he does, so he can probably speak knowledgeably to school concerns, too. Just stellar!! I'm honored to call him a neighbor and friend now.

Bought a Single Family home in 2012 for approximately $275K in Central Beaverton, Beaverton, OR.

Jack and I hit it off from day one, he was very easy to talk to and friendly. This was my first time buying a house and I had no idea what I was getting into, naturally I had a lot of questions. He was available whenever I needed him and always could find an answer. He did a great job of giving me a lot of houses to look at and catering to my needs. I never felt rushed or that Jack was trying to force a house on me. I will definitely be going with Jack when I get my next house, not only because of his great work, but because I consider him a friend now.

Bought a Single Family home in 2012 for approximately $175K in Portland, OR.

I worked with Jack Kearney on the purchase of a Fannie Mae Homepath investment property. From the get go, I knew he had been involved in a lot of bank-owned/Fannie Mae transactions. At just about every step of the way, Jack was able to predict what the bank and the listing agent would say or do next. This started with anticipating a price drop prior to submitting our offer and continued through closing.

Jack negotiated a great deal for me. His hands-on approach with contractors and inspectors gave me added confidence about the home. It was a comfort knowing that he had my back and that any surprises were smoothed over in advance.

I would not hesitate to use Jack again (he’s still looking for properties for me) and I have referred him to several friends who have also purchased investment homes. They’re still thanking me for that.

Sold a home in 2013.

Jack Kearney and I have worked together for about a dozen years. I’m a mortgage broker and would write a five-star review for each of the transactions we’ve done together. My clients feel comfortable knowing with Jack’s low-pressure salesmanship. He backs it up with a lot of know-how and experience, especially when he’s negotiating or advocating for them. Jack is invaluable for his clients (and I’m now one of them). He puts in research on property values and knows neighborhood issues like radon, party-line sewers, and more. I call him Rainman because he can compute mortgage payments in his head almost as fast as I can with a mortgage calculator. Jack helped me market and sell two investment properties. He’s as capable on listings as he is with purchases. Jack advised me to have one of the homes pre-inspected prior to putting it on the market. My contractor took care of most of the repairs. After the work was done, the inspector came back and cleared nearly all the issues from the first inspection. This helped us to market the house and to breeze through the inspection and FHA appraisal part of the transaction. I can speak from experience that Jack is a great listing broker who anticipates issues before they arise.

Bought a home in 2010.

Jack helped my wife and I find a home in close-in NE Portland. He lives in Irvington and is very knowledgeable about the local market. In terms of negotiation Jack is top notch. I would recommend him to anyone who is considering buying a home in Portland, not only is he a smart agent, he is also a fun guy to be around.

We met Jack through a recommendation of a neighbor. We were VERY PLEASED with every aspect of his service. He was VERY PRO-ACTIVE and VERY PROFESSIONAL.
