Ms Perry was my realtor as a first time buyer. At all times I found her to be professional, courteous, friendly and really down to earth. I truly enjoyed the relationship and repore that was developed over the period of time that it took to find my home. Jan was very patient in answering all of my questions, gave sound advice at all times and continually steered me in the right direction for my purchase. She would even return my phone calls from out of state if she was on vacation! I call that dedication to serving the client. Despite that it has been almost a year since my purchase I still email her, at times, with questions and she answers me with helpful advice. i.e., she's still there for me if I need her. I think that's just great.
I grew to respect her and her opinion highly and recommend her with no reservation whatsoever.

I have had very positive experiences with Jan Perry. She has represented me on two purchases. I am confident that my best interests were protected. During one bidding process a dangerous structural condition was detected. Jan Perry had the condition verifyied by an expert. When the seller refused to return my deposit her knowledge of the process and legal system avoided legal costs and resulted in the full return of my deposit. I would recomend Jan Perry without hesitation.
Jan has handled two property deals in the Berkshires for me while I have been overseas. You could not meet a more honest, genuine and trustworthy person, and her knowledge in her field is unrivalled. Her attention to detail and negotiating skills enabled me to achieve speedy and very beneficial deals, and it is a reflection on her caring attitude and commitment to the community that she donates part of her fee to charity. Anyone buying or selling real estate could not be in better hands!

Jan and Waterfall very very helpful in helping us to make the house more marketable and in bringing potential buyers to the house. They were aggressive in their promotion of it and we were quite pleased that we were able to sell it in just 6 months in a weak real estate market. EWe highly recommend both Jan and Waterfall
Jan gave me several useful tips about preparing the house before putting it on the market. she also advised me well regarding asking price.
My house went on the market the day after I moved and was sold three months later. Jan kept me informed about showings, time of the inspection, etc.. I was impressed how frequently she had people look at the house. I made a couple of suggestions about advertizing, including photographs to add to her website; she was very receptive and did indeed include at least one of my photos.
I am puzzled by the comments from the other reviewer. I of course do not know any of the details, but do want to state that Jan was very professional throughout or dealings. I have no hesitation in recommending her to others.
Listed, but didn't sell my Single Family home in 2011 in Pittsfield, MA.
In 2011 my wife were relocated out of the region for a job. We needed to sell the house and selected Jan Perry because of the sales pitch. We listed the home at the price suggested by Jan. After numerous showings and no offers we reduced the price by $20,000. We then had two offers that sounded serious but never panned out. After 6 months, the house never sold and Jan basically told us that we had to re-sign with her for another 6 months because of the protection clause which states that if anyone who looked at this house during her listed purchases it then we would have to pay two commissions. This is false. If you sign with another brokerage, then she is not owed any commission regardless of who purchases the property. After confronting her about withholding this information, she then stated she had never used the clause before and that she would provide the new agency with the names of all people who visited and then they would pay her the commission. False again. Overall, Jan was soley out for the money and did not seem to have our best interest at heart. I would not suggest anyone to use her services.

My response to this review is not to respond except to say this was a short sale situation and I think this is misplaced anger toward me. For the past 14 years of being in the real estate business 90% of my business has been all referrals. My solgan is: You Are My Priority, Results Are My Business.
