Bought a Condo home in 2010 for approximately $425K in Montrose Verdugo City, Montrose, CA.
I was fortunate to have met Jane Baker in April of 2010 at an open house. I had already been to many open houses and met many agents-- something about Jane's style that I really liked. She listened,...is VERY knowledgeable, detail oriented and thorough. She informed me about a fantastic tool called Listingbook and set me up to view it the following day! Anyway, I found a place and Jane was busy in the preparation and negotiations process, when another place that I had my eyes on months earlier came up on Listingbook, on a Friday. It was a newer townhome that had many offers the first time around but the sale did not happen. Whoo-hoo!...I contacted Jane, who did not hesitate at all when I switched gears on her. She found out that the seller was not going to wait beyond the weekend to review offers. Jane got right on it-- e-mailing me the neighborhood sold & for sale comparisons so I could make an informed offer, which was submitted and accepted that weekend! The subsequent escrow process went on longer than expected because of issues on the seller's end and then issues with my lender, however Jane was there to prod the slowpokes into action and reassured me when I lost my patience. Today, I'm in my Home-sweet-home and lovin' it. Jane is a genuine real estate professional!...you will be well served by her.

Bought a Single Family home in 2011 for approximately $475K in Claremont, CA.
After using several other agents for selling and purchasing other properties, we decided to work with Jane Baker. We were told that she "works very hard" but had heard that before about other agents.
We have been extremely impressed with Jane. From the day that we started working with her, she has gone above and beyond to find us the perfect home. Jane takes the time to listen and she is very respectful of her client's time. She has rearranged her schedule to accommodate ours, showing us properties in the evening, weekends and even holidays.
Jane works very hard at understanding what her clients want in a home - price, school system, police department, commute, etc. She respects her clients and doesn't waste time showing properties just to make a sale.
When purchasing a home, Jane is very concerned about future resale for her clients. She is not afraid to point out possible resale issues, even if it means losing a sale. Although, there have been several properties that we would have "settled for", Jane would not let us. She is not the type of realtor just looking to make commission off a sale. She researches, talks to appraisers, calls local agents if she is not familar with an area, contacts inspectors and contractors in regards to issues and concerns and really works to protect her clients.
We expanded our search to a 45 mile radius and instead of referring us to a local agent, Jane took the time to print maps, research the cities and eventually found us our "dream home".
Jane remains in constant contact with her clients, she returns calls promptly, she works while on vacation, evenings, weekends and holidays. Jane is very professional and tries to make the buying/selling experience as stress-free as possible. Her negotiation skills are superb. She supports her clients and is not afraid to negotiate until she gets the best price possible for her clients, no matter how many telephone calls or counter offers it takes. Jane works hard to maintain her outstanding reputation, earn repeat business and referrals.
We have had such a pleasant experience working with Jane and would highly recommend her. She has definitely worked hard, found us the most beautiful home and has earned our repeat business and referrals.
