Tulsa Real Estate - Janet & Graham Ford
The Gold Standard In Tulsa Real Estate
About Us:
Janet is a Broker Associate and Graham is an assistant previously with Keller Williams and now with Tulsa's #1 Realtor company, McGraw Realtors.
They are both members of the Greater Tulsa Area Realtors, Oklahoma Association of Realtors and the National Association of Realtors.
Their aim is to provide you with a top quality service, second to none. Through listening and really hearing what your needs and wants are, they will help you find that ideal home.
They will both act as your guide and support, to make sure that the real estate purchasing and selling process goes smoothly and that you fully understand what is happening at every stage.
They were top producers in the Keller Williams office, before migrating to McGraw and "Putting People First" is the standard that they live by. Janet who is a Broker Associate was also a member of the Associate Leadership Council at Keller Williams Realty, mentoring new associates and ensuring a professional service provision is available at all times.
Janet & Graham were both born and raised in the UK and relocated here eight years ago. Janet has been negotiating substantial commercial and residential real estate contracts for over 15 years. She was born right in the heart of England near Birmingham, which is known as the Second City after London. She was employed for most of her career with Her Majesty's Customs & Excise (HMCE) the oldest police service in the country, that preceded the Bow Street Runners. On moving to London she became the Facilities Manager for the multi billion $ HMCE headquarters complex on the banks of the River Thames. She is also a trained Total Quality Manager (TQM) and Facilitator. This has greatly helped her in her previous corporate negotiations and her real estate negotiations in the US. Janet loves skiing and watersports and has been visiting the US for over 20 years before moving here permanently. She never was a "cat lover." But Graham has introduced her to two lovely pussy cats, Tuppence & Sixpence (old English coinage terms before decimalization).
Their personal experience of relocating here from the UK gave us them both an enormous insight into the hopes and dreams of people seeking to buy and sell their dream home and new places to live. It has provided them with a sensitivity to people's needs and a desire to help them achieve their dreams. They have made wide range networking connections for all manner of professional trades relating to real estate and have extensive knowledge of the Tulsa real estate regional market and trends.
They both enjoy a challenge, won't waste time but will take time to listen, understand and respond to your needs. They pride their self upon their sincere, straightforward and principled approach. They both have a sense of humor, enthusiasm and great commitment to achieving results which they hope to share with you whilst building a trusting relationship.
As an assistant Graham has been partnering with Janet within real estate since when they first joined Keller Williams Realty. He was previously the Director of the State Forensic Laboratory in northeast Oklahoma with the State Bureau of Investigation (OSBI). Prior to this, back in GB, he headed the National (CSI) Drug Unit at New Scotland Yard where he was employed for 28 years before relocating to the US, thus fulfilling Janet's dream. He has many interesting and varied stories of his times in criminal investigation in the capital, London. He was born within the "sound of Bow Bells, so is what is known as a "Cockney." He has a penchant for old films, especially "film noir," and was previously a member of the British Film Institute for many years. In the past he renovated an 1884 Victorian entrance lodge to a grand old farming estate. The date was on the cast iron gargoyles of the gutter down spouts!!
In 2005 Graham received a request from the military to go to Iraq and establish some forensic facilities whereby the examination of the Improvised Explosive Devices (IED's) and suicide vests etc, could be undertaken in the war zone. This would minimize any loss of evidence caused by shipping the devices back stateside for later forensic analysis. He shipped out five days later for an 18 month tour. He travelled through Iraq by chopper and convoy and established the facilities. He was also med-evac'd to Germany part way through the tour and returned to Iraq after hospital release.
