Many of you may think of Janet when you think of education. She worked to educate thousands of students in Rapides Parish and other areas. A graduate of La. Tech in education & library science and later a Master's Degree in Informational Services prepared her to pass on the love of learning and reading to others.
A new career, one in Real Estate began in 2006. Her interest in serving people again has proven to help make her career in Real Estate a successful one. She believes in nurturing her clients, educating them, and communicating with them in order that they may become successful in the home buying or selling process. It is a personal goal to work with clients through every step of this endeavor. She takes great pride in helping newcomers to become involved in the activities available in central Louisiana.
Belief in community and service to the community is an interest in Janet's life. She balances family, friends, work and community service well. She is currently a member of the board of the James Bolton Memorial Library at LSUA and the Tom Peyton Memorial Arts Festival Committee and is a past president of the Junior League of Alexandria. In the past she has served on the board of Kent House, the Alexandria Museum of Art and others. She is an active long time member of the First United Methodist Church of Alexandria.
This top producing agent is serving as a board member of the Central Louisiana Realtors Association and will serve as Treasurer next year. Janet has received the Top Producer Award numerous times. She was named Realtor of the Year in 2012 by the Association.
Janet grew up in Lake Charles and lives in Alexandria with her husband, Jimmy Whittle. She has one son, Richard Rand.
