Bought a Single Family home in 2011 for approximately $200K in Barnegat, NJ.Summary:
I worked with Janis Olson for about a year and a half. I had tried to start the process on my own by contacting sellers agents with very little success and, in some instances, no contact at all. As a first time home buyer, I brought my parents with me to meet with Janis so that I could have an agent that would have my best interest in mind. We got such a good feeling we first met with Janis. We look back and laugh now because Janis told us it would be a process and that she worked with some of her clients for months and months and showed them a hundred houses because that is what it takes to make a perfect fit and we all knew that I was going to be one of those clients! She sensed that, as a first time home buyer, it would take time and she was more than happy and willing to allow me that time. I constantly was in contact with Janis and every time I saw a property online, she would respond so quickly. I am also the type of person when I saw a house online, I would want to see the house that evening because I was so excited and thought that every house I saw online could be the one. She immediately got on the phone and worked to make appointments as soon as possible. I don't ever remember a time where Janis said that it wasn't a good time for her, she just always seemed to be available whenever I called or emailed. At times it was a discouraging process and I thought that I would never find a home that was an affordability for me, as a single person, and that had almost of the items on my wishlist. Janis assured me that my house was out there and eventually we found it, however, it seemed that her work was just beginning. She worked tirelessly with the sellers agent to secure the home of my dreams. If she called them and they didn't respond to her, she would call again. Her persistence, knowledge, and good nature got me into my first home and it I couldn't be happier. The home has everything from my wishlist and so much more.
If you are looking for a real estate agent that is knowledgeable, patient, practical and someone who has your best interest in mind, Janis Olson would be the obvious choice. It doesn't seem like it is just a job for her. Janis genuinely cares about finding the best home for you and I can't wait to have her over to show her what I've done with the place!…More Less

Sold a home in 2009.Summary:
I met Janis Olson during the summer of 2009 while considering selling my vacation home located in Mystic Island, NJ along with a few other local real estate agents. I was impressed with Janis' knowledge of the area but mostly with her honesty. Janis did more than I expected, informing me of what I could realistically get for my home and showed me other homes in the area that were for sale in the range I was asking. Not only did Janis get my house sold in 6 weeks but she was very helpful in our purchase of our second vacation home which is in Beach Haven West. I have since decided to sell the second house and with the market being horrible and no offers, Janis suggested renting the house while waiting for the market to recover some. This was not something I was to thrilled about but after thinking about it, I decided to try that idea and Janis was successful in locating a renter.
