Your listing should be automatically removed from Zillow one your agent marks the house as "Sold" in the MLS. Ask your agent to make sure the MLS was updated after closing.

It sounds deceptive to me too and I don't blame you for not liking it. It also sounds like it MUST be some kind of violation. I would contact your local real estate commission and tell them immediately. I would if I saw that going on in my neighborhood. Good luck!

I'm very sorry to hear that happened to you and I can honestly sympathize. A very similar thing happened to me when I bought the house I am living in now. We also bought from a builder and they said they would take care of everything. Until the day after closing. I would recommend you contact an attorney. Maybe even just having a lawyer send them a demand letter could get them to correct the issues.

How to get pre approval on line

There may be some sites out there that will let you answer a few questions on line and then let you print out a prequal, but unless it is from a reputable bank some sellers may not accept it. Many banks selling foreclosures will require a prequal from their bank. You can get a prequal from many banks on the phone by answering some questions in only about 10 or 15 minutes. You will also probably be better off using a lender local to the area you are purchasing property. I hope this helps.   :)
