Bought a Single Family home in 2011 for approximately $250k in Village 2, Sacramento, CA.

Summary:

I started my home buying experience in January 2011, although the lease on my apartment was to expire in August 2011. A Chase Bank rep put me in contact with Jay. Even though I made it clear to him I was most likely not going to buy until Summer 2011, Jay still gave me the option to start looking at properties earlier on. I let him know if we found a good deal, we were willing to break our lease. We started initially looking at foreclosed properties in the area, as there were fewer newly built homes in the area I was looking to move (Natomas). Plus, it was my thought that a foreclosed home would get us the best bang for our buck. However, because I was using my VA benefits for a loan, we found that the process for securing financing proved cumbersome on foreclosures. We also found that a great many of the foreclosed homes were not in best condition. Even though, Jay was able to find us a great property in Natomas. We came thisclose to closing on the property, only to find at the last minute that the home had been on the market too long and was now off to Auction.com. Jay didn't give up, and we decided to look at new builds. The same day we got the bad news about the foreclosure we had bid on, Jay found us a newly built home located in a nicer area. Brand new, upgraded everything, and the price was just right. We contacted the seller, and roughly 6 weeks later, I had my keys (on my birthday, no less!). All in all a great, painless experience. Jay was always on the ball and always available to answer any and all questions. He's a great, no b.s., stand up kind of guy that I would buy from again, no questions.More Less

Bought a Single Family home in 2010 for approximately $525k in Rocklin, CA.

Summary:

We purchased a home through Jay within the last year. We have been working with him to identify a suitable home for nearly 2 years. We are very picky buyers and Jay has been very patient in showing us a lot of properties without pressurizing us. He is extremely responsive, a family man and represented our best interest throughout the process. He is very diligent and pays attention to details to every clause and provided us with pros and cons of various choices. Bought a Single Family home in 2009 in Orangevale, CA.

Summary:

Moving from Phoenix to accept a job in Folsom, CA was exciting...except for the part about looking for a new home. Luckily some friends put us in touch with Jay and suddenly things got much easier. Jay kept us informed with continual listing updates including several videos of properties which we could view while we were still in Phoenix. To say that Jay went above and beyond is an understatement. We were able to talk with him at anytime including Sundays. Needless to say we found a great house and Jay kept the deal moving for us up to and beyond the closing. Without one ounce of doubt, we would highly recommend Mr. Emerson.More Less
