Communication & education
My involvement with real estate extends back to 1992 as an investor. I entered sales after the market peak in 2006 – so I'm familiar with the challenges & opportunities of our present housing market. Whether dealing with a short sale, a bank-owned property, a conventional transaction, or a rental, the cornerstones of my practice remain client education, interpretation of the market & friendly, knowledgeable communication.

Whether you are a first-time home buyer, a repeat buyer, a landlord, a renter, a seller or an investor, my emphasis is on information & direction until you are comfortable in moving forward with your purchase or sale. At that stage of the transaction, I will negotiate your offer until you are satisfied with the terms and the price. I'll continue to provide you with information and guidance until our final goal of a seamless closing.

Advantages of large broker
The beauty of working with a realtor from a brokerage such as Berkshire Hathaway Home Services KoenigRubloff is the strong market penetration & exposure that a large organization provides. You also receive the personal attention and service of an individual real estate practitioner. The market tracking systems that Prudential Rubloff Properties provides for analyzing sales and purchases are useful in monitoring a home's competitive position in the local real estate market. Additionally, BHHS KoenigRubloff connects you with other professionals who are necessary to the real estate process, such as reputable mortgage lenders, inspectors, appraisers & real estate attorneys.

Team reviews

Jeff is knowledgeable and helpful. He and his team did an impressive marketing program on our sell and we were provided good market information. He knows the area and was instructive on our purchase which helped us in deciding the ultimate unit we bought. Jeff is thorough, he keeps on top of things and he is very pleasant to work with.

Bought a Single Family home in 2012 for approximately $325K in Glen Ellyn, IL.

Jeff helped my wife and I purchase our home in the western suburbs of Chicago this past fall. Jeff helped us through every step of a long and tedious process. He listened and understood what we were looking for in a home and then researched and constantly updated us with new listings. We really felt that Jeff had our best interests in mind as the negotiations began between the realtors and attorneys. Jeff made himself available whenever needed and was very responsive to emails, texts, phone calls. He never ran out of time and was very patient and knowledgeable in explaining all aspects of the home buying process. Jeff was insightful and providing thoughtful advice with the pros and cons of each situation. He worked seamlessly with everyone else involved providing the same level of service to our attorney, mortgage broker, etc. We truly felt that we had someone on our side with Jeff and would recommend his services to anyone buying or selling a property.  More Less

Sold a Condo home in 2009 for approximately $325K in Edgewater, Chicago, IL.

My husband and I recently bought our first house and we purchased the home before selling our condo. Once we started looking deeply into our options, the prospects of renting our condo, selling in a tough market and paying two mortgages were all unappealing and had their own pitfalls. Jeff gave us sound guidance to weigh the pros and cons of renting vs. selling and letting us decide the best course.

Once we'd made the decision to sell, Jeff patiently explained the importance of pricing, made a number of suggestions to help us prepare the unit for the market, and offered numerous tips on the smallest details to make the place show well. He really scrutinized the space, both before and after changes were made, and even rolled up his sleeves and helped out when we were ready to call it good enough. Listening to Jeff's advice, we made a decision to put our trust in him and follow up on the suggestions he made, and in the end, it really paid off. An offer was made in the week before the first open house. After so much trepidation from seeing similar properties in my neighborhood sitting for 6 months to a year and more, our condo sold in the first few days on the market. I attribute this to the sound advice about entering the market at a realistic price point as well as the eye to detail that Jeff brought to the table. In all, it could not have been a smoother transaction and we highly recommend Jeff Linton's expertise.
