I updated the Estimate for the home that is listed FOR SALE here at ZILLOW. I listed this home For Sale on the Multiple Listing. The owner have claimed the home here at ZILLOW, although he added my name as the listing agent.  HOW can I change the Estimate of this home to PUBLIC?The home address 41474 Grand View Drive, Murrieta, CA 92562.Thank you for any suggestion.Jieranai Maier

This home is claimed by the owner and is listed FOR SALE here at ZILLOW. I listed this home For Sale on the Multiple Listing. The owner added my name to her home that she claimed so I left it alone and I added my own listing without the house number. I used the map to indicate the home location and it is the same home location which the owner claimed but it allowed me to use that same location so I am happy with the listing without the house number lol. I have the MLS # on my listing so it is ok for now.

Can you claim the home and update your own estimate and make it public? I update the facts with my own home even though I am not selling it. Our home tax record is valued at certain price but we have added vineyards and upgraded the home inside so it is worth more than with the comp. in the neighborhood. I have made the update estimate private but I have posted "MAKE ME MOVE' on the home in case someone wants to offer me what I would consider a fair market price that I posted for my property. Perhaps you can post your own updated ESTIMATE if you are selling it.

You are correct about the home owner who are not willing to accept the reality of home price that are depreciating in the last 6 months.  However, when the home owner inputs in the cost of upgrade for each job, Zillow provides the adjustment and it will calculate the market value of each job the home owner added on his/her home.I have been watching Zestimate for many years and I can see that sometimes Zillow under estimates the home value when I compare it with the price of the home is just sold.  I also see that Zillow does not over estimate the home value BUT in certain area here we have 'trouble' spot due to local circumstances and most of Zestimates are all way OVER the homes being sold in the area.  It is just my humble opinion, but the local market variables are not being formulated into the calculations.Good luck with your home remodeling and marketing of your home.Jieranai Maier,http://JieranaiRealEstate.com
