Bought a home in 2014 in Ensor, Owensboro, KY 42303.

My family and I recently relocated to Owensboro and were referred to Jim by another real estate agent. Our first meeting consisted of Jim taking time out of his day to show my wife and I around Owensboro highlighting what the city had to offer. Jim was very upfront and honest with the process of "shortlisting" a group of homes for us to look at, and he was extremely knowledgeable about the homes, neighborhoods, and schools. We had some issues with the closing on the house we ultimately chose, but Jim was right there with us to sort them out through the closing, possession, and even after our move. I would HIGHLY recommend Jim.

Jim has done other house buy and sells for me. Some of my real estate history has been difficult, but jim worked them out. Jim is a very talented agent. His best business gift is his persistence, he worked hard to buy and sell my properties.

Bought a Single Family home in 2012 in Owensboro, KY.

My husband and I went to look at a house that Jim was showing back in September. In just a matter of minutes we had fallen in love with the house and Jim. Jim did not try to sell us the house rather he educated us on its features. He pointed out the pros and cons of the house so that we could make a knowledgeable decision and feel good about what we had decided. Being first time home buyers we were oblivious to the process of buying a home but Jim walked us through every step and was there as a friend to offer support and guidance. Although Jim was representing both the buyer and seller in this case he was genuinely concerned that both parties got the best deal. Jim always responded quickly to any and all questions and concerns that we had. I saw him on several occasions go above and beyond for us and the seller. Even putting us in contact with an agent that he knew, that could offer us a better deal on home insurance when he realized that the price we were paying was more than what it should have been. All around our first home buying experience was a pleasant and successful one in a large part due to Jim.

Sold a Single Family home in 2011 in Owensboro, KY.

My wife and I had a beautiful parade home on a nice golf course. It was a large home, spacious and we kept it in pristine showing condition. But because of the market and our asking price, our home was unable to sell for many months. We tried selling it by owner and we tried listing with a couple other agents prior our choosing to list with Jim yet we didn't get the results we'd hoped for.

I'd never met Jim Estes prior to him listing our home and to be honest, I was rather hesitant in listing it again with another agent. I've heard many a sales pitch whether it was by mail or by phone from agents trying to convince me that they have more experience and a better sales strategy than other agents. When I first heard Jim's pitch, I was skeptical. But I gave him a chance- not because he spoke as one having a lot of experience, or a great sales strategy... His pitch was a good one, but I was sold because he convinced me that my family was more to him than another paycheck at closing.

I wanted an agent who would be honest with me... someone who would communicate regularly... someone who would invest what was necessary to market my home until it sold... and someone who wouldn't try to persuade me to lower my price just in order for them to make a sell. Jim excelled on all of my expectations. Our house remained on the market for several more months after hiring Jim, but he never gave up. He continued to heavily market our home until it sold. Every week he was in contact with me- even if just to tell me to stay encouraged! Never once did he try to persuade me to lower my asking price... In fact, at one point I called him to ask if I should drop our price and he actually advised against it. THAT spoke volumes to me. He really made me feel as though he had my family's best interest in mind.

Jim saw the selling of our home through from the time he listed it until closing and remained consistent through the entire process. Yes, in real estate I'm sure experience matters. And though I'm certain he could easily sell you on his years of experience, track record, knowledge of the market, sales strategy and all those other things that create a strong agent, I found him to possess far more. Would I recommend him to be your agent? Certainly. And should he still be working in real estate when the time comes for us to sell again, I will be looking him up.

Thank you Jim! J. Mayfield

Bought a home in 2011 in Ensor, Owensboro, KY 42303.

We recently relocated to Owensboro, KY from Florida. We had initially talked to another agent in Owensboro, but contacted Jim Estes who was the listing agent for a property we found. After meeting with Jim to walk-through his listing, we quickly decided to stick with Jim for our home search. He is extremely knowledgeable about the area and communicates very simply and straightforward (doesn't confuse with technical jargon to sound impressive). Most importantly, he listened. He wanted to know what our goals and priorities were for our family home as opposed to just a price point. He is not pushy or aggressive, but approached our relocation and home search in a simple and helpful manner whenever we had questions or needed more information. I texted and called him regularly with questions about the community throughout our relocation to Owensboro and he continuously took the time to get us acclimated with the town. I have told everyone I know how great he has been and continues to be as we close on our new home.

Sold a home in 2011 in Nuckols, Livermore, KY 42352.

Very rarely do I give a 5 start rating to any professional or place. However, Jim Estes proves to be my exception. My husband and I listed with Jim after researching the area's top professionals. Not knowing the exact protocol to the selling of a home, we had many inquires. Jim offered to meet with us for explanation of the process. Given the market had varied over the past several years, we did not know where to begin on pricing and etc. Jim was extremely helpful with options and educating us on how to best embark up our decision to list. Upon the decision to trust Jim as our Realtor, we were provided several ways to track progress and view showing details, including a convenient up to date online status of our listing. Communication was one of the most impressive aspect of our selling venture. Every phone call, text and email was answered in a timely and professional manner. Jim was eager to accommodate our schedules, respect our wishes and constantly reminded us that he was working for us. I have since referred several family and friends to Jim Estes because of our experience and highly recommend his services to anyone in need of a true professional. Jim knows the market and makes you, the client, the most important part of the business transaction on a personal, yet professional level. - Stephanie Tomes Wright
