Much of the Bay Area has experienced home prices that have been difficult to justify based on comparable rental prices.  Primarily this has been due to speculation that home prices would continue to rise.  Over the past year this phenomenon has adjusted so that home prices are more in line with rental rates.Perhaps this is a sign that it is a better time to buy?Feel free to contact me if you have any questions.John

Help with interest rate calculator?

Answer
A mortgage of $272,000 amortized over 30 years at an interest rate of 4.5% would have a principle and interest payment of $1,378.18.  If you are amortizing over 15 years the payment would be $2,080.78.Please give me a call or email me if you would like to discuss further. Thanks,John

what can I do about my interest rate?!

Answer
The first thing that I would do is check the "note" for the exact terms of your mortgage.  Then I would call Bank of America. If you have questions feel free to contact me.John
