My Experience with John was more than above my expectation. After notifying John of my interest to down grade from a house to an apartment and my specific interest in a coop building located on the Grand concourse he surprised me by quickly locating a beautiful apartment in the coop building of my interest. John presented himself professionally and was very knowledgeable about the various procedures which involved purchase/closing of a coop but above most his warm / friendly and caring mannerism throughout the process helped to make the purchase of my apartment to be a smooth and calming experience.

Unfortunately, we had a poor experience with John. He did not understand the Yonkers coop market - three months into the listing, he 'found out' that our maintenance was higher than average. In six months, we only had 9 showings scheduled, 7 of which showed up. Also, we had a six month contract, but the listing was removed a month early without our knowledge or consent. I am now trying to reach him because he did not even have the courtesy to return our apartment keys.

Unfortunately this customer's unit didn't sell because of their price & maintenance. They only had 9 showings because their 1 BR coop had the highest maintenance in Yonkers (10704/10708) so many people avoided seeing it (average maintenance $550 vs their maintenance $725) They even canceled a few appointments themselves which many didn't come back because the agents had more listings in the area for their clients (Every showing is CRUCIAL because if a buyer can't access the place, how can they buy it?) THE MAIN REASON this coop didn't sell was because the seller's mortgage balance was literally close to the asking price so they couldn't come down in price to compensate the high maintenance nor did they want to come out of pocket at closing to sell their place. The listing period was 5 months not 6 months (they had copy of their paperwork) which expired during the holidays (look at the date the customer left the review) so their key was given back the first week of January.
