Bought a Single Family home in 2011 for approximately $250K in Lynn, MA.
I would highly recommend John. His responsiveness was both quick and efficient and his knowledge of possible trouble spots was invaluable. I was also impressed with the team John works with. The inspection service provider was outstanding as well as John's Assistant and the attorney he recommended. I love my new home and John's professionalism and knowledge helped make the decision-making process an easier task.

Bought a home in 2011.
John is the consummate professional. He was a real pleasure for us to work with all around. He gave us sound guidance and practical advice ranging from helping us find a wonderful realtor to sell our old home to unabashedly pointing out key concern areas in examining new properties (his experience as a builder is extremely helpful). He understood our aesthetic, anticipated our needs and was incredibly organized and responsive (email and phone responses in record time!). When it came time to negotiate an offer and manage the process, he worked hand in hand with our lawyers, bank and others to ensure that not a detail was missed and that our interests were appropriately represented. John Wells puts clients first. He listens and understands clients needs and expectations. Then he delivers. He is highly efficient and responsive. I found my dream house in 2 weeks and got to see it before anyone else. John was with me every step of the way smoothing out bumps in the road to ensure everything went my way. He is a great real estate professional and an excellent person.

Bought a Single Family home in 2013 in Norwell, MA.
John, our buyer's broker, was invaluable during our search for a home. He was thoroughly knowledgeable about the market and was clearly dedicated to helping secure the perfect situation for our family. In fact, he went out of his way to make certain we made the optimal purchase and clearly was work "for us". We were grateful to have him on "our team".
At all times he had our best interests and goals as his priority and, he was completely responsive to our many requests and needs. We would definitely work with John again and high recommend working with him or his associates.

Bought a Single Family home in 2013 for approximately $350K in Marblehead, MA.
My wife and I were two recently retired New Yorkers looking for a home in New England. We knew we were way out of our comfort zone with the local real estate markets and early on sought to find the right person that could show us the way and represent us on the negotiations. On a visit to Newburyport back in October, we arranged to meet with John Wells hoping he might be the right agent for our search. His office is on a marina at the water's edge and over a coffee roasters shop where we introduced ourselves over some really good coffee. We liked his easy approach and expert knowledge of old homes and commenced our partnership. It was not easy as we had to first sell our apartment in New York while our search went on in various towns along the coastline We almost decided on an old house in Salem but in the end found a beautiful antique house in Marblehead that was perfect for us. John patiently steered us through the process and pointed out the pros and cons of each location. He watched our backs and questioned an easement issue that would have gone unnoticed had he not been on the ball. We are very happy to have worked with John on this important phase of our lives and highly recommend him to folks looking for the right home.

Bought a Condo home in 2013 for approximately $450K in Newburyport, MA.
With John Wells expert help and guidance, I now own a lovely Condo in Newburyport. He arranged for the house inspection, found me an excellent attorney, and made the necessary paper work and closing go forward in a very clear and orderly way. In any future real estate undertakings I will most certainly call upon him for assistance.

Bought a Condo home in 2011 in Newburyport, MA.
John was a true professional in every sense of the word. He facilitated the entire search process for me and bent backwards to accommodate my schedule and buying timeframe. He listened to what I was looking for and delivered. I felt he was genuinely and honestly looking out for my interests from the time of our first meeting and well after the closing. When my bank turned down my application for a mortgage at the last minute due to concerns with the condo, John quickly connected me with an outstanding loan officer who got me the loan and closed in a matter of weeks. I can call him at any time and know he'll get back with me ASAP. I know I'll be reaching out to him when I'm ready to sell.

Sold a home in 2012.
This was my wife and I's first attempt at buying a house and John was recommended to us. He was the only real estate agent that we worked with in this process and we couldn't recommend him more. He was very responsive and has keen negotiating skills. He recommended many houses to us that were within our budget and roughly what we wanted. He was very honest about his opinion without forcing anything down our throats. I don't like to be sold things. I appreciate sincere honesty and we couldn't have been happier. We highly recommend John Wells.

Bought a Condo home in 2012 in Amesbury, MA.
Friendly, straight forward, knowledgeable, businesslike and thorough. John was exceptional. If he didn't know the answer to something he'd say,"I'll find out right now and I'll call you back". And he did!
He always had time to discuss things and you felt you were getting "special" treatment. That's the way he is. No pressure, just honesty and helpful input.
