Our family's experience with John marginal at best for many reasons. He's earned a one-star in process expertise and responsiveness from us. We contacted John to buy a home listed in our hometown. Several things did not go well. Part of it was the process of buying a home through HUD. He did not read paperwork that he gave to us at times, causing confusion in what he was telling us and what was required. He collected a deposit of $750 and then later came back for $250 more. He did not return our call during one part of the process. We later found that he went on vacation. We ended up working with his associate up to the closing (who did a good job). There was money we were supposed to get as part of the contract, but did not. He was supposed to follow-up with HUD and after following up with him a few times and he did not have an answer, we just gave up. It's as if the contract meant nothing. Even if HUD was being difficult, he still never resolved the issue with us by telling us what HUD decided. John got his pay though. We feel that there were other things. I would say you be the judge if you decide to use John. He has his side of the story. We won't be doing any more business with him though.

Being in customer service for so long, it is heartbreaking to hear a client is not satisfied. Buying a HUD home, as this client did, requires a ton of patience. In this particular transaction, there were 26 pages of legal forms to sort through. We worked hard to answer the family's questions. The earnest money amount was changed by $250 by HUD and he received all of those funds back at closing. In addition, he did work with an assistant through the inspection process and during my vacation. He was told about my process up front. At closing, HUD refused to pay title company fees which were $300. I went to HUD to complain but no one cared. The client was told 3X I was getting no where. While I am sorry to hear this client is unhappy, I know we did a good job for him. In the end, we negotiated the home down 15K on price and put an extra $1200 in tax money in his pocket. I welcome the opportunity to show any client what I can do for them and let them be the judge.

Bought a Single Family home in 2013 for approximately $75K in Dayton, OH.

John was great from the beginning! He was always available for consultation and showing homes and when he wasn't he had a great back-up, Chris Focht! He gave his honest, professional opinion which was very helpful and aided us in choosing a home that we love!!! I would definitely recommend John to anyone who is looking to buy or sell a home. Bought a home in 2012 in Bridgeport, Moraine, OH 45342.

Could not ask for more from John. We were first time home buyers. We worked very hard to get to were we are. He went above and beyond to find us our home. Even after the home was taken care of he was still there when we need some help with some tasks. When we are ready to sell down the road we will go to John again with out even thinking about it. He did his job well as a realtor but also made us feel like he was a friend. He will find you the home you have been looking for. Thanks John  More Less
