Hi Ajoe,I live and work in East Brunswick, I have children in the school school system. East Brunswick schools are "Blue Ribbon" schools and althoughmy preference was the Frost area for school, I am sure that there are many tat chose their particular are for reasons. we lived in NJ, our home value went down 20%, should our property tax be lower?

VFT -Taxes in East Brunswick are based on assed value., this is the amount to rebuild the property as it is... this is then broken down to add the "land assesment" and the "building" assesment total... this number is divided by 100 -  and then muliply the tax rate of 8.539 per 100 of assesed value and you have your tax rate number.
