Go to the Zillow Help center tab. Typically they have the answer. I went to their recent Mid Atlantic Conference, they put a lot of effort into getting the data correct.
Talk to a CPA. Realtors can not give tax advice.
Tell me where you saw those words and I can tell you the answer.
Your pre-approval will need to be updated when you find the property you want to buy since rates and terms change constantly. Your initial pre approval should only be used as a guide to determine your price range. When you are looking for a lender, Look for one that is paid by salary not commission. You are less likely to be up-sold products. Its a good sign if they won't give you a pre-approval letter until they have verified ALL of your documentation in writing and its been reviewed by underwriting. That process can take about 2 weeks. After that you can shop for a home but you will still need to provide your lender with your most recent information and the property must meet the lender requirements. I will not take a buyer out until they have completed this process and I insist on an Underwriter and document verified pre-approval with all offers on my listings.
I'm having trouble too. I think Zillow rushed to get this out. Tough to find support. I've built web sites before, this one is kind of complicated. Special offers too. There is no link for existing Premier Agent to simply add "closing cost assistance" to listings. My sales rep. keeps telling me it might be down. I've been trying all week!
I'm a premier agent and I want to add a special offer. My zillow rep can't seem to get it done.
I'm an agent not a Zillow Rep. Zillow uses public records. Check the assesed values of both properties and you might see where the zestimate came from. Remember, this is only an estimate not reality of the market. Unless your planning to move, keep the lower assesment to keep your taxes down. You can also "claim" the property to add comments. And report "bugs" to zillow under the other tab.
What type of information do you need? It it Listed or fsbo?
It's public record, so just like your county/state web site it's there for all to see and you can't remove it.
Go to Advice tab on top, click other on left, click Bugs. Read comments given to other zillionaires.
