Jolie escaped Los Angeles and settled in Santa Cruz in 1978. She had spent 3 years helping people buy and sell homes in the Westwood /Beverly Hills areas and decided it was time to go back to school. On a visit with a cousin in Bonny Doon, she fell in love with sleepy little Santa Cruz. Three weeks later she loaded her belongings and her Saint Bernard into her Datsun and followed the moving van to Seacliff beach. Just down Soquel Drive, Cabrillo College beckoned. After earning her associate of science degree, Jolie fell in love again, this time with a Berkeley optometry student. She and David were married in 1982, bought a house on the Westside, got another dog and had a daughter: Jordan. Whew! What a crazy few years those were! Over the next years watching Jordan grow, Jolie went back to work part time in the eyecare industry ( another former profession ) as a dispensing optician. She also opened and operated two sunglass stores. One downtown and one in the Capitola Mall. The quake of ‘89 took the downtown store, two years later the mall store was sold to Sunglass hut. As the millennium approached she began to get restless. Jordan was growing and talking about college. It was time to go back to the old love: Real Estate. After interviewing in the endless stream of Santa Cruz Real Estate offices, Century 21 Lad. Relaxed, unhurried, home. The office feels like family with an incredible support network always just a phone call away. With the worldwide reach of Century 21, who could ask for more?
First hand knowledge of business, thirty-three years in the community, negotiating skills borne of experience, and a deep understanding of human nature, make Jolie someone you can trust.
