I enjoy working with buyers better, because I really enjoy seeing homes. That is what I consider fun. That's why I got into real estate. However, I really prefer working with sellers now, because it involves less time away from my family since I do most of my office work, (advertising, etc) from my home office.
If you have a zillow ez ad, and you are logged into Zillow under your own name, you should not have your ad pop up. I spend a lot of time on Zillow, and it's a shame that every time I see my ad (that I paid for), a potential client will not see it.
I agree, sometimes, I want to look up the homes for sale in South Windsor, CT, and when I put in the zip code, I get more areas than I'm looking for, unless I put in an actual address.
Hi Bri_nin,I am not from Zillow, but I can help I think. If you click on map & search, and type in your address, the first screen that comes up shows a little flag with your house. I believe the address is underlined. When you click on your house, a screen will come up with the zestimate right on it.
Yes, and it seems the only way to add a house to zillow (if it's not already there) is to post it for sale. If you know a house is there, you should be able to add it. I know zillow is getting data from the whole country, and there is probably a delay from the time of the sale, until Zillow gets the data from the town halls, so I can understand sales not always showing on time. I personally have gone through the MLS in my town and entered every for sale home in my town. I am also updating them when they go under deposit and adding the sale price when they close. I probably should be on Zillows payroll (it is alot of work), however, since every listing now has my name on it (unless the listing agent or homeowner claims it) I figure the free advertising I am receiving is probably payment enough.Anyone can post a house for sale and put the sale price in when it sells. This probably will result in more accurate zestimates for us all.
Great idea Ken. Thanks for the tip. My cell phone actually has a voice recorder built into though, so, I will probably just use that. But, I never would've thought of it, if you had not brought up Jott.com.
I just started running my ez ads a couple weeks ago, no response yet, but I think that the towns I market to seeing my face in 1 more place could make a difference.
Yes, in Connecticut most agents do not charge buyers anything, and, you do not pay for it indirectly by having an additional middleman. The commission the seller pays is negotiated between the seller and the seller's agent. The commission stays the same regardless of whether there is another agent involved in the deal or not. So, whether you made the offer, or your agent made the offer, it would be an equal offer in the eyes of the seller.Having a real estate professional will allow you to have someone working for you who will look out for your best interests. And, it won't cost a thing.
