I'd like to add to all of the positive reviews written here about Karina. She is honest, responsive, attentive, professional, knowledgeable, helpful, accommodating, and a pleasure to deal with.
I realize that if you're reading my review, you're probably at the point of trying to decide on an agent to go with to help you either to buy or to sell a place. And if you're like me, making that first step takes a lot of research. And to paraphrase Forrest Gump, "picking an agent is like a box of chocolates. You never know what you're gonna get."
In this instance, you'll be getting the best chocolate in the box.
Buying or Selling is always a highly stressful and nerve racking venture. And if you dont enjoy stress and want to decrease it, you should definitely go with a person like Karina. It might save you a year or more of your life that you would otherwise loose to stress.
So to whoever reading this, I'd like to wish you good luck in your undertaking, be it buying or selling. And if it's not yet absolutely clear by now, I highly recommend you choose Karina as your agent. You'll be glad you did.
Bought a Condo home in 2014 in The Waterfront, Jersey City, NJ.
My wife and I have had a wonderful experience working with Karina over the past 4-5 months as we closed on a condo – and we highly recommend her if you’re looking to buy/sell in the Hoboken and Jersey City real estate market.
We decided to work with her based on a referral from a friend – and her professional reputation – evidenced by the Circle of Excellence award for 8 years in a row.
After listening to us and understanding all our requirements (a skill she has mastered) - she never once – tried to push us towards a more expensive purchase or create any false sense of urgency when it comes to placing an offer on a house. We must have seen over two dozen options and she was almost surprisingly very empathetic towards our choices – which kept evolving throughout the process. As a realtor, she maintains a superb balance between patience and aggression.
Our home-buying process entailed many ups and downs – including multiple aggressive bids in a market with a tight supply. The way she helped us through the awkward situation of backing out of an offer which was duly accepted – is testimony to her patience. Throughout the process – Karina was very responsive, always available to address our concerns/queries and offered invaluable tips/suggestions to keep us grounded as far as our requirements/budget were concerned – till we found the best one for us.
Despite a painstakingly long closing process (almost entire due to slow mortgage approval amidst the holidays) – Karina always stayed in the loop and helped sort out issues. More importantly – she looked into details to pre-empt issues that could potentially arise from a lender’s perspective. She is very well connected with all possible intermediaries within the real-estate market in the area – and lets you know the pros/cons of every choice you make - which can be very crucial.
Karina knows the neighborhood very well – including local parks, healthcare options, restaurants and other secret gems the neighborhood has to offer. At times you can feel that she probably envisions the future of the neighborhood over the next 5 years!
Overall, Karina’s a genuinely fun person to work with, is extremely patient, and despite all her accolades, her humility will strike you
Karina helped us to buy 2 condos in Hoboken in 2012 and rent 2 condos in 2013. She has very good sense about local housing market and pricing. We trust her and value her opinions a lot. Last year due to Hurricane Sandy, our closing was getting more difficult, but Karina was very responsive about all our concerns and coordinated with all parties to negotiate and make the deal finally. We were so impressed and happy about this deal. Karina also is very active in community re-building after Sandy. I always recommend her to my friends for house purchase, sales and rentals.
Bought a Townhouse home in 2013 for approximately $550K in Hoboken, NJ.
Karina was an absolute pleasure to work with throughout our entire home-buying experience. She was very aware of what we were looking for and the location that most interested us. I would highly recommend her to anyone looking to buy (or rent) in Hoboken - in fact, I already have.
Karina helped us with the purchase of our first home in Hoboken. She is absolutely professional, knowledgeable and a great person to work with. As first time home buyers, we had a lot of questions and Karina provided us with all the information and answers. She is very supportive and responsive. She is also very familiar with the local (Hoboken) market and one of the best realtors in the region.
We'd highly recommend Karina if you're searching for a place in Hoboken or nearby area.
Karina was amazing to work with. She was professional and really understanding to what I was looking for. She didn't pressure me and was very supportive. I would recommend her to friends and family and I would use her if I sell and/or buy again!
We connected, but it did not work out. Looking in Jersey City, NJ
I noticed that all glowing reviews involve buyers or sellers and so thought it would be worth commenting as a renter who had a bad experience with this agent. We worked with this agent on a rental in Jersey City (~$4k/month). We called this agent on Mon. and arranged to view the rental Wed evening. An hour before the appointment, this agent emailed to say she had another viewing which she was prioritizing over ours and a junior agent would instead show the property to us and another prospective renter at the same time ( a minor turnoff but we decided to proceed because we really liked rental). My husband was called into a meeting as he was leaving for the viewing and I called to see if the junior associate could accommodate a later time--- he agreed to do so and said he would call or text with any issues. My husband arrived at the agreed upon later time-- junior associate never arrived, called or texted to cancel. Of course we were upset by the complete waste of time. We called and emailed agent regarding unprofessional and inconsiderate behavior and were told it was our fault for canceling in the first place.
No matter how small the commission, brokers work for clients and not the other way around. Renters avoid this rude and unprofessional agent.
Response from Karina on 01/08/2014
Thank you for taking the time to write a review. Unfortunately, I cannot control the availability of an agent when I am unable to open a property for a potential client. Since your cancellation came in on the same time of your appt, after the agent was already at the property, we were left to scramble to accommodate a later time. I apologize for the miscommunication that occurred that evening and have worked to rectify the issue so that it does not happen again.
I can highly recommend Karina as a real estate agent for the Hudson county area. She recently helped me buy a condo in Jersey City. Working with her felt like having a friend in the real estate business. She is competent, hard-working, responsive and knows the area very well. She quickly grasps what your personal style is and then shows you things that fit your tastes. She helps you avoid pitfalls, such as features that might take away from the resale value of your home. She gives you a list of all the steps involved in a real estate transaction, helpful to the first-time buyer. On top of all that, she is a wonderful person and someone I felt I could trust. Big Thumbs Up!
Karina has helped me sell 2 properties. She's a pro and went the extra mile to market the property and make sure it showed great as well as make sure the deal closed. My last buyer had a financing issue and she pushed to make sure the deal closed on time! Highly recommended!
