The local real estate industry is important to me and given that interest I serve as the President of the Women's Council of Realtors and past VP of Marketing. This is an organization committed to educating Realtors and raising the level of professionalism within our industry. I also participate in the local Realtor Young Professional Network, who are building the next generation of Realtors. In 2011, I was awarded the Coldwell Banker Schmidt Rookie of the Year award. To improve my education and participate beyond a local level I regularly travel to state and national meetings.
I live in the Traverse City area with my husband, Tim, a dentist and my Bernese Mountain Dog, Stout. In Acme township I serve as the Chair of the Acme Township Planning Commission and sit as the Housing and Community chair. I am also a member of the Acme Board of Review. I am interested in everything that Northern Michigan has to offer, from the great outdoors to the restaurants and shops. I also love to cook, garden, work out, read, bike, boat, canoe, kayak, ski and hike.
Some other testimonials-
"Couldn't have asked for a better realtor. Karly went above and beyond to get me the right house. It was amazing to spend this birthday in my first home. Thank you so much for being so good at what you do. I plan on having an open house once the basement is finished." -Josh Smith, Home Buyer in Interlochen Summer 2012
" My wife and I would like to thank you heartily for the outstanding job that you did for us in arranging for the sale of our home in Traverse City. Frankly, after a six month listing with a competitor, which was one more in a series of bad experiences with that company, it was refreshing to have such a well versed, aggressive and motivated individual to represent our interests. Your attention to detail, creative marketing plan and dogged perseverance in the face of a number of puzzling set-backs heartened us as you worked 'magic' in bringing us potential buyers when the market is flooded with undervalued properties. We were particularly pleased with your transparency and eagerness to communicate with us. You were quick to provide feedback to us and also quick to offer insightful advice and innovative changes to the marketing plan when it seemed that everything was stalled. Moreover, we did not have to contract you for a status on your work, but rather you contacted us regularly to inform us of what you were doing on our behalf. We can't tell you how appreciative we are of that type of customer service. right down to the closing, you provided the kind of support that helped reassure us that we had made a good choice by having you as our agent. Thank you, Karly, for a great job" -Iakovos Olechnowicz, Home Seller in Traverse City, Spring 2012
