Sold a Single Family home in 2013 for approximately $350K in El Dorado Hills, CA.
Our attempt to sell Mom's home began in December. I was immediately impressed by Karen's 'no nonsense' approach when she inspected the home the first time. It was inhabited by young men (as tenants) and she was friendly and accepting as we inspected each room in the house.
Afterward, we immediately met her at her office, discussed pricing, and signed the paperwork to put the house on the market. That was the easy part. It was the events for the next four months that were the challenge.
I feel Karen went above and beyond what would normally be expected of any agent. Listed below are just a few examples of Karen's involvement in the sale of our house. She had: -Tenants to deal with -A sister in law (landlord) who was uncooperative -Dates that changed -Notices to be delivered to tenants -Notices to be delivered to creditors and debtors as a result of a bankruptcy -To meet with furnace people to resolve problems -To coordinate a pool man -To Interface with my daughter on both legal matters and house clean up -Great skills in helping us navigate the offers made on the house; providing sound advice -Immediate communication of changing events - always a first priority -A sound relationship with the title company that made it easier to assess issues and respond appropriately -and MOST IMPORTANT: She did not quit. It would have been tempting to do so considering our situation. Her tenaciousness was unquestionable.
I would highly recommend Karen to anyone either selling or buying a home. She was a delight!…More Less

Karen Catania is truly a caring and consummate real estate professional. She handled the short sale of our home last summer by always letting us know what to expect during this process. She addressed our needs and dealt with our concerns. And when we had issues with one of our lenders, she tenaciously dealt with the bank and stayed on top of everything.
